This online course was easy to navigate, and I could log in and study at times that suited me and my schedule. The course presentation and content were excellent, and there were fun tests to ensure you understood the content before moving forward. There is an additional fee for the issue of the TEFL certificate, which I thought was very reasonably priced when considering that this is a fully accredited program. Immediately after my certificate was issued, I started applying for jobs online.

It has taken a while to get my hours up to nearing a full-time teaching schedule. I’m nearly there now and before long I’ll be having to turn down offers from new students because I don’t want to teach more than 30 hours a week. Teaching online has so many advantages, but it is also exhausting teaching some students. This might not be specific to teaching online but might be the same as teaching in-person classes. I do plan to transition to in-person teaching this fall, and the certificate from CIEE will help me reach my next goal. I would say the course is well worth it.

Caitlyn did an amazing job as my online tutor. I had many questions and Caitlyn answered all of them. My course study went without a hitch and I graduated with a score of 98.6%. The certificate and letter of recommendation arrived in the post the next week. Paul was there for me with expert job guidance advice when I finished the course. I am a recent graduate of TEFL Online Pro’s Professional (120 hours) course online. My experience with this company was very positive and I would like to share my thoughts on the program.

I completed the course in May of this year. It took me three weeks to complete all 12 modules and the two bonus units. I studied a couple of hours a day on it during the weekdays and for 2.5 full weekends (I finished the course on a Saturday afternoon.) The course took just over 120 hours to complete and I was happy with what was advertised in terms of study hours and with what I received.

I chose to take the TEFL with this program because they won the Teachers’ Choice Award this year, and because their course had two bonus units. These were teaching Business English and teaching young/younger learners (children and teenagers.) I don’t necessarily plan on teaching children or teenagers, but it is always good to have a backup plan in case I need to in the future. Plus, they improve my resume content.

The 12 modules cover in depth the main TEFL syllabus that I have seen also listed on practically all other TEFL programs. I’m assuming that this is the standard international syllabus for TEFL. The modules are accessible through a login page on the TEFL Online Pro website, and the structure of the course is user-friendly and very well presented.

I have to agree with other reviewers of this program that the feedback on assignments and the general speed with which my emails were answered were excellent. When you pay for something online, you are never quite sure what you will receive. When I paid for the course, I immediately received an email from Paul Murphy. It was a personalized email. When I wrote back to ask a question about testing, he responded within an hour with a detailed response. This was the precedent for how communication was quickly responded to for the whole duration of the course.

My online tutor (Rosie) was just as quick with her replies. And just as helpful in her responses.

Within two days of completing the course, I received a letter of recommendation and my course certificate from the TEFL Online Pro office. I also received access to their international job support team. Again, the communication here was excellent.

I paid a total of $299 US for the course, which included the online tutor support, the reference letter and course certificate, and the job support.

I wanted to teach online. I asked their support for help, and they delivered. A week later, I was interviewing for jobs. Two weeks after that, I had a full-time teaching position.

I really couldn’t have asked for any more. Especially given that the course is a fraction of the price of some other programs I saw advertised which don’t seem to have so many varied services for students.

The only negative of the course, for me at least, was that I wasn’t able to download the modules for later use. Instead, I was instructed to make screenshots of the activities that I wanted to save for my records. The reason for this might be because of copyright issues. Still, it would have been nice to be able to create a binder of the course that I could then use as a library resource.

I recommend this program for the quality of the course, office feedback, and end-of-course job support services.

Taking into account the price and the possibility to use the certificate for online and in-person teaching, I imagine this is likely one of the best online TEFL/TESOL courses you can choose. One aspect of the course that I thought excelled the most was the customer care support. All of my emails and messages were answered in minutes or within an hour or two. Really incredible service. I started out teaching online and have accepted an in-person teaching job in Bangkok, Thailand. For online teaching all I had to show was my TEFL/TESOL certificate. For the job in Thailand, I had to show my college degree plus the TEFL/TESOL certificate. Another definite advantage of choosing this program is that the certificate doesn’t mention that it was taken online and looks like it could be from a 4-week in-person TEFL/TESOL/CELTA course program. Very happy with the choice I made. No complaints.

I have been doing courses with Global English since 2014. All their courses are well structured with great interactive material. There is great tutor support and the assignments will help you to prepare your lesson plans for the future. Also, the links that they provide you are invaluable and I am using them for online teaching. I originally completed the advanced Tesol course whilst working full-time. I have recently completed the Online English teaching course which is a must if you want to teach English online. The information and tips provided are invaluable. I would highly recommend the spotlight courses as well. These are short courses on a range of subjects from teaching mixed ability classes to teaching beginners and also the Zoom spotlight course which teaches you how to use Zoom whilst teaching online. The spotlight courses also provide an excellent practical session with the tutor and other students. I can highly recommend Global English as the best TEFL provider and I hope to do other courses with them in the future.

Having recently completed the TEFL Online Pro 120-Hour Online TEFL, I can confirm for anyone reading this that this is a top-notch program. It’s obvious to me why they have won the Teachers’ Choice Award for the past two years.

Compared to similar programs offering the 120-hour TEFL course online, TEFL Online Pro is priced mid-market I would say. This isn’t one of your crazy cheap TEFL courses but also isn’t crazy expensive either. Plus, you do get a lot for the $299 price tag, and they don’t try to either up-sell you or nickel and dime you; meaning no difficult conversations by the end of the course

For the $299 I paid, I received full access to the course and I had my tutor who was available throughout the whole time that I studied. The course also includes international job guidance services and of course international certification. They also issued me with a great-looking letter of recommendation, which I have already made good use of.

For the past two months, since completing the course, I’ve been teaching online. It’s not something I plan on doing long-term, but it will do for the time being. I’ve been liaising with Paul from the TEFL Online Pro office to help find me teaching work in South Korea, and he has been as helpful and quick with replies as my tutor (Claire) was when I was studying for the TEFL certification. I’ve already sent off all my documents and now I’m just waiting for the paperwork to be completed then I’ll be traveling to Seoul to begin a new chapter in my life. I’ve been told that it can take anywhere up to four months for the paperwork to go through, so I’m just waiting on the employment agency in Seoul now. The good news is that last week I received the all-clear on the documents that I submitted to them and the school confirmed for me that I will be on a slightly higher starting salary because of my TEFL experience.

TEFL Online Pro has completely delivered everything they promised and I am truly pleased that I chose to do my international TEFL certification through their program. Top marks to them and a solid recommendation from me.

I accomplished what I set out to do. This was to get the TEFL qualification and then to teach English to Japanese students online. I thought the course was good. It certainly packed a lot of information in the 120 hours. My tutor was efficient and took notice of my questions. I thought the feedback on my lesson plans was helpful as since beginning teaching I have taken the advice given in forming structured plans as I teach more students. I have also used some of the activities which were provided in the course in my new classes and they have so far gone down really well with my students. My main reason for choosing Tefl Online Pro for my certification was because of the ongoing job-finding help, and I have so far been very satisfied with the support provided. I have just completed the TEFL Online Pro 120-hour course online, and this is my review.

As you can probably guess from my maximum awarded 5 stars, I am a big fan of the course

My decision to study with TEFL Online Pro was based on weeks of research, where I began with a list of 20 TEFL courses, narrowed the list down to my top 5, and then committed to the TEFL Online Pro Professional course online. My main reason for this final decision was the consistent positive student reviews (alumni love the program) and also the reasonable price because the course also offers Teaching Business English and Teaching Young Learners modules in addition to the standard TEFL syllabus offered by so many other TEFL programs. The tipping point for me was the reviews. Past students love the program and I considered it the best deal around when compared to other courses I had on my shortlist of potential candidates.

When I enrolled, I received 3 emails.

1. Receipt of course purchase.
2. My username and password.
3. A personalized welcome email.

The full (Professional 120-Hour) course price is $299, but TOP was offering a $ 50-course discount at the time, so the complete course fee for me was just $249. In hindsight, this was worth every last cent.

Why was it worth every last cent?

1. I had an AMAZING tutor who helped me out along the way.
2. As soon as I opened the first module I saw this was a serious course and not just an automatic pass TEFL mill.
3. Feedback on my lesson plans was encouraging and reinforced the general sense that I wasn’t left without guidance. Having quick feedback on assignments and course content questions helped me develop my teaching knowledge during the course. Had I not had access to an online tutor, I wouldn’t have known whether I was headed in the right direction.
4. I was sent my certificate on the day I completed the final module. No waiting around for weeks for the certificate (as I have read happens with quite a few other TEFL schools).
5. Support was there when I needed help and advice with a job hunt. Paul and Susan were instrumental in helping me find teaching work online, and the recommendation letter they issued me boosted my teaching resume and helped me appear more credible to employers.
6. I wasn’t nickel and dimed (as I have also read happens with quite a few other TEFL schools). My course fee paid was the only payment I made and for $249 I have to write that I am impressed with the value for money aspect of this course.

Is there anything I would change about the course?

I can’t think of anything from the top of my head. All the positive reviews I read about this school have also been my overall experience of TEFL Online Pro and I feel fortunate that I made the right TEFL course decision.

If you are considering a TEFL course and are not quite sure which one to take, you can’t go wrong with TEFL Online Pro.

All thanks to the coronavirus, I got laid off from my work with only a few days’ notice. The shutdown meant that my employer was forced to lay off staff because it’s the hospitality sector and I was the last one in so was the first one out. Because of this, I very quickly found myself facing a potentially dire financial situation ahead. There was the option of possibly getting money from the government, but I have a couple of loans and I didn’t want to fold on them. Plus, I hate the idea of not working and being completely reliant on handouts. So I did a lot of digging around on the internet and found out there were teaching English online jobs. I sent off my resume to a bunch of schools and one got back to me to let me know that they were taking on teachers, but I would need to get the TEFL certificate before they could offer me any hours. When I asked them which TEFL they recommend I take they specified one with a 120-hour length, and this was how I ended up taking the TEFL through the TEFL Online Pro international program.

The whole TEFL learning experience was great. I had a couple of questions before I enrolled and got swift replies back. This was a good sign that the company was on top of it, so I went ahead and enrolled in the Professional 120-hour course. After I had paid I had my course username and password within minutes and I also received a personalized welcome to the course email, which I thought was a nice touch. It took me 2 weeks to complete all 14 modules and 2 lesson plans. And while I was studying I had help from an online tutor, who was also swift with his replies to my questions and in providing me with feedback on my lesson plans. I received the TEFL certificate and letter of recommendation the same day I completed the course. And a day after this, I received a whole load of information about teaching English online. Paul the Operations Manager offered to help me with a job search as well, but I didn’t need the help because I started teaching as soon as I had the certificate. I will be sure to use the TEFL Online Pro job support services in the future though. The course was a life-saver for me. Thanks for everything TEFL Online Pro!

I completely love teaching English. I’d always loved traveling as well, but I always found myself in the same cycle: work a low-paid job and save, travel, come home, work a low-paid job and save, and so on. I would work for a year, to be able to travel for 6 months, and after 5 years of doing that, I really needed to either find a better-paying job or find a way in which I could travel and earn as I go. One day, between shifts, I was reading an article about digital nomads and in the comments section someone wrote about TEFL. And after more research, I decided that teaching English would be the perfect way to enable me to realize my dream of being able to travel and earn money at the same time. I can’t remember why I chose Maximo Nivel TEFL, but I’m glad I did. Unfortunately, my travel plans are on hold for this year (COVID) but I have been able to pick up enough online teaching hours so that I haven’t had to settle for another low-paid job that I have no interest whatsoever in doing. I teach kids online and I also have a few adults, to whom I teach Business English to. I absolutely recommend TEFL!

I’m a little older than I imagine than the age of your typical TEFL student. At the grand age of 35, I decided that I wasn’t that content in my 9/5 job and I began searching for something which would jump-start my journey into a new career field. After reading an article about earning money online, I began reading up on teaching English online. It seemed to be the perfect fit: teaching wherever I had an internet connection and working independently. Further reading and searching led me to the TEFL Online Pro international program. I had many questions before I enrolled in the course – all were answered efficiently and quickly. This gave me the confidence that this was the right program for me, so I enrolled and began the 120-hour Professional course.

I must admit that I wasn’t very impressed with the first module. It was too easy and left me wondering whether I had made the right choice or not with this program. This is the only reason why I’m not giving the program the top marks of 5 stars. I did write to my online tutor about it and he wrote back that the reason for this is so that students have a soft start to the course, instead of diving straight into the deep end, but I still think there could be a lot of improvement in the first module.

The remaining 11 modules and 2 bonus units were extraordinarily good, and this is why I am giving this program an overall mark of 4.8 stars.

The customer service was excellent. When I had a question (and I had many during the course) I always got a reply back in no more than a few hours. Most of the time a reply was instant. Not an automated reply either. The feedback from Paul was at a high level and I want to write Thank You to Paul for his support throughout the course.

The course is full of quality content. I was surprised at how much content there was, and I was very impressed with how it was presented. The course is a responsive design, so it meant I was able to complete my work either on my notebook, tablet, or mobile – depending on whether I was at home or on the go. One of the features which I liked was that I could work both online and offline.

The course taught me a lot. Much more than I thought was possible for a course of this length. After receiving my TEFL/TESOL certificate and a beautifully written letter of recommendation, I received help with my online search for teaching work.

I began teaching English online, for a company based out in Japan, the same week I received my TEFL/TESOL certificate. Job done!

I want to thank TEFL Online Pro for making everything work out for me. I’m so happy with my choice and after reading reviews of some other programs, I know I made the right decision.

All they need to do is tweak that first module and then it’s a faultless course.

I have just completed the TESOL certificate 120 hours. Most of the stuff is pretty obvious content, but there is a section on grammar which I thought was very thorough. The course was let down though by the stream of grammar errors and spelling mistakes littered throughout. I wasn’t expecting this from an international teacher training course, and it left me wondering just who had designed and written it. They should employ a proofreader to take a good read through the course and then the overall presentation would be much better.

I did pass the course. I didn’t fail and then asked to pay for an expensive course extension (like I read some other programs do to their students) and the certificate was issued right away. I wasn’t so happy with the style of the certificate. It looks a bit amateur. But it has my name spelled correctly on it and it is embossed. I guess that for such a low course price you need to lower your expectations.

I’ve been applying for work online and the certificate hasn’t raised any red flags with potential employers, so I’m confident the certificate is an international qualification, as the school purports it to be. There are SO MANY online schools offering work. The work is out there if you look for it. It does take a bit of time and work to go from the application stage to the interview process, but if you are actively searching then I can’t see finding online teaching work to be an issue. A lot of the brick-and-mortar schools have crossed over into providing their classes online and this has created so many more jobs for teachers online.

Quite a bit of the information is repetitive and video tutorials are missing. You read information and take tests afterward. I could see how the course is a little dated. Could do with an update! Don’t even bother trying to contact i-to-i when you need something because they never answer emails. The hardcopy version of the certificate isn’t free and when you do pay for it it takes quite a while for the delivery to take place. Well, that’s the bad stuff out of the way. Now for the good stuff…

It does the job of getting you through the T-E-F-L and at the end of it you receive a certificate. If you want to teach English you will need the certification. I was asked in interviews if I had the T-E-F-L and when I told them I took the i-to-i it wasn’t a problem for them. Meaning the certificate is recognized by employers. The price of the course was reasonable for what you get.

I did try teaching English online but I didn’t like it much. You don’t have the same student interaction as you do with an in-person class and I soon discovered that students are often not 100% focused on the lesson when they have email, Facebook, and other apps open when taking the lesson. This is a real problem when teaching English online. Classroom management just isn’t easy.

I’ve been accepted for a teaching job in Seoul South Korea which starts in January 2021. The job was advertised online so I didn’t need to use the placement service. I’m being started on a great salary and the job includes housing, health insurance, and paid vacation time. I’m looking forward to putting into action the materials I went through in the i-to-i course. I think they will be useful in those first few months when I’m still finding my footing in the classroom.
