Never heard of Serious Teachers.

We are not a fan of job placement services. A few companies offer job placement and skim money off the students once they start working.

Perhaps Serious Teachers are different with regard to this?

Using the search tool, I could not find SeriousTeachers. This is a well-known company that does placement but also has at least two online TEFL courses. Don’t you have any reviews of this company’s courses? (By the way, you use the button-slide tools below, but, like most sites using them, you donot explain which direction is off and which is on.)

I am a recent student of the TEFL Online Pro 120-hour Professional course. What really amazed me was how quickly my online tutor responded to my questions. It was so comforting to know that I wasn’t taking the course purely on my own and that there was always someone on the other end to assist and help. I also really liked it that you are tested at the end of each module (multiple-choice quizzes) instead of having one final big test at the end. The help and assistance with finding work was equally impressive. My main focus was to teach English online and Paul provided me with a list of recommended companies that were hiring at the time. With my TEFL Online Pro certificate and recommendation letter I quickly found work. I could see from the list and subsequent research of my own that TEFL Online Pro partner with the best companies. My starting hourly rate was US$30. I compared this rate with other companies and it is much higher than what most English teachers seem to be earning when they first start out teaching. teflonlinepro.com deserve their 5-star rating and I’ve already recommended the company to a few of my friends who were also trying to decide on which TEFL/TESOL certification company to go through. Recommended!

Completed the tefl online pro 120 hours tefl/tesol course last week and began teaching online this week.
Excellent course and excellent support.
Just as importantly, my certificate was accepted without any questions from my current employer.

I chose teflonlinepro.com as well! They were excellent. Even on the weekends they always answered my emails and responded to PMs in a matter of minutes. I've used the certification for online jobs and now for my job application for a teaching job at a university in Japan. No wonder they have won so many awards. If in doubt, go with teflonlinepro.com. It's a safe bet and the course is much cheaper than some others offering the same TEFL syllabus online. Recommended!

This article was incredibly helpful when I was deciding on which TEFL program to go with.
In the end, I shortlisted by choice down to UoT TEFL and Tefl OnlinePro.
