From the emotion of the language in your email, I am assuming that you work with or for World TESOL Academy.

World TESOL Academy is NOT “Government-Registered”.
It is a registered company in the way that any company can be registered as a company, but it is not a government-registered company.

Companies, such as World TESOL Academy, pay CPD and Accreditat an annual fee for “accreditation” status.

Please don’t insult your customers who have added their verified reviews and subsequent comments by claiming that they are “living in their momma’s basement”.

They have an actual address while whoever is spreading this “scam” nonsense is living in their momma’s basement.

It was cheap and was sparse on content.
I completed the “120-hour” course in a day.
Could have completed it in a few hours if I wanted.
Because of this, I bombed in my school interview.
Avoid and choose a better program.

Thanks for the feedback about World TESOL Academy.

We find it puzzling as to why so many people feel that purchasing a TEFL course for around $20 US is a sufficiently wise investment for their future and for the future of their students.

They then complain when they learn almost nothing in the course and when they are billed for numerous hidden fees.

On top of this, they are often inundated with aggressive marketing tactics to get them to sign up friends and family to the course.

They copied other companies and scammed Filipinos who went to China with fake certificates and some teachers ended up in serious trouble for presenting fake degrees from WTA – They have mastered the art of controlling the chat boards and destroying the TESOL industry – there are 100s of fake postings by WTA about their own greatness – I guess many teachers will fall victim to this global scam. World TESOL is one could say “the perfect scam!” You can contact me on my email for the full story – 100% true- we even had the Philippine NBI involved but they ‘disappeared’ from Manila “…just in time…”

Yes, World TESOL Academy is neck-deep involved in perpetrating a complex TEFL scam.
It lures people in with the ultra-cheap TEFL course price tag and with a lot of unsubstantiated claims surrounding its credibility.
My advice is simple.
DO take a dirt-cheap TEFL course if you already have many years of teaching experience and you just need a TEFL certificate to show an employer that you have some TEFL training.
DON’T take a dirt-cheap TEFL course if you have little to no teaching experience.
“Dirt-cheap” means any 120-Hour TEFL course under US$100.
You might think that you are getting a great deal on World TESOL Academy, but you will end up paying far more when you find yourself needing to get properly trained up later down the road.
