This is my 4.5/5 TEFL Online Pro review.

Choosing which TEFL course to take was no easy task. I thought there would be one school providing the certification. Oh no. There are literally hundreds of them. Some seemed more professional sounding than others. Just to make my life easier, and to insure myself from getting scammed, I went with the highest-rated one. TEFL Online Pro. Besides being the top-rated course, I also liked how their website was designed and that they got back to me really quickly when I contacted them.

The course was without major issues. I did think that the first module was a little too easy, but as I continued through the course I understood that it was designed to start easy and gradually develop in difficulty. I found the module on Phonics really confusing. My tutor Claire helped me a lot with this one and made certain that I understood everything before I went on to the next section. The support she gave was excellent and she was always available at short notice. Everything came together nicely when it was time to write the second lesson plan and the feedback I got from it was so helpful. Claire helped me see where I still needed to improve on the structure and delivery.

What I also really liked about the course was that there were no unwelcome surprises. i.e. there were no hidden fees that I read happening to some people who took some other courses with some other companies.

Finding work was much easier than I’d thought possible. I just assumed the job market would be saturated. This wasn’t the case. It took me a week to get my first couple of lessons online and I’m now up to teaching full-time. I could have found work without TEFL Online Pro’s help. With their help, though, it was possible to avoid the scams and get a much fuller picture when it came to hourly rates, contracts, etc.

I am a satisfied customer and recommend the program to anyone looking for an affordable, reliable way of getting TEFL certified and securing well-paid teaching work online or overseas.

Was really happy with my course studies and it felt as though the course materials were specifically designed for people like myself who have absolutely zero teaching experience or abilities. The course takes a very level-headed approach, beginning easy and then plateauing for the remainder at a mid-level difficulty level. The Linguistics sections were difficult but I just won’t use phonemes in my classes, or at least I’ll try to avoid them as much as possible. I think they confuse students more than they help them. Any regrets about taking the course with Let’s TEFL? No.

I just want to start my review of MyTEFL by stating that I didn’t use their job placement services. So this review is limited to the course that I took, the 120-Hour TEFL certification course – which, I thought, was very good. Why did I think it was very good? It was convenient. I paid, studied the modules, took the module quizzes, received the certificate, and began teaching online. Really simple. There is a lot of online teaching work. It did take me a while to get my foot in the door but once you do (and if you are a decent enough teacher) you will soon find yourself inundated with new classes. It took me about a month and a half from sending off my first resume to being offered a job. One word of advice for the procrastinators out there is that you can’t email off your resume and then sit back and wait for the job offers to come flooding in. It’s a competitive market. Many people are looking for teaching jobs online. You have to be proactive like I was. I would keep sending my resume and I would always try and address the email to the HR manager or someone who was responsible for the company hiring. I’m pretty confident the schools receive a huge number of resumes every single day. You need to make it happen that your one is the one that is read, and addressing your email (or even cover letter) to the right person (or even to just the right school’s name) will be putting your best foot forward. So, yes, MyTEFL was a very good course. It won’t turn you into the best teacher ever, but it does the job of teaching you about all the main areas of what you need to know as a TEFL teacher. The only negative is that MyTEFL only helps you with your job search if you pay for their job placement services. I chose not to and I still found a job.

All the information is laid out well. As a non-native speaker, I was a bit worried at first whether the course would be too difficult for me. However, as I progressed I noticed how they presented everything, and with my C1 level of English, the course turned out to be manageable and enjoyable. I also had concerns about whether, as a non-native speaker of English, I would be able to find work after the course. Paul assured me that I could and I have, since finishing the course, been accepted for a teaching English job position in HCMC, South Vietnam. I would, therefore, recommend this course not only for native English speakers but also for non-native English speakers who have advanced English language skills.

The only disadvantage was not being able to download the course at the end. Instead, I had to manually copy the activities that I wanted to keep for my teaching files. Other than this the course was excellent and there is strong support available when you require help in finding a job.

Reading reviews of other programs, I see that TEFL Online Pro provides the most support out of all of them. This is an important element of the course and post-course because you just don’t want to be taking a course like this on your own. You need to have feedback from experienced tutors, and you will need to have feedback from people who are experienced in the international job market.

TEFL Online Pro’s 120-hour TESOL program came highly recommended to me and have been through the program, I certainly extend that recommendation. Having been interested in teaching for a while, the program did not disappoint in educating me about teaching English online and to in-person students- such as the communicative approach to teaching grammar, the importance, and effectiveness of TEFL games and activities, developing effective classroom management skills, teaching business English and the course also provided help with resume tips and interview techniques. I got tremendous real-time feedback from my course tutor throughout, making some of the more challenging areas of the course much easier to understand and complete. All in all, it took me 2.5 weeks to complete this 120-hour TESOL course online and I was truly proud of my achievement of passing with a grade A with distinction. I found it very easy to find teaching work online with the TEFL Online Pro certificate, and I know that they will be there for me when I next need some TESOL-related support. You really can’t go wrong with this program, and I continue to recommend it to others.

I know that MyTEFL gets a lot of bad press, but I had a really good experience with them. I chose them before I’d read any reviews and I’m not sure whether I would have chosen them if I had conducted some further due diligence. My take from the program is that you can’t expect too much when you are only paying a couple of hundred bucks. I, though, was completely satisfied with the whole MyTEFL package. Payment for the course was without issues and my time on the course went smoothly. I learned a lot and that was why I wanted to take a TEFL course in the first place. They also issued my course certificate promptly and if I needed help finding a job placement then the help was there to be had. My advice though is to look for work by yourself because it’s so easy to find work when you are TEFL-qualified and I don’t think that job placements offer the best deals at the end of the day.

I haven’t begun teaching yet but I already have 2 job interviews arranged for next week. I’m applying for teaching online jobs. I have applied to 10 online schools so far and hope to get started in a teaching job well before the end of this month.

MyTEFL was worth it and I want to give them the maximum 5 stars. Thanks.

Enrollment with TEFL Online Pro was pretty easy. I paid via credit card and the whole process took just a couple of minutes. I liked how I got an immediate confirmation that my payment went through successfully and I also liked how I got immediate access to the course. You get given a username and password to access your course and logging in wasn’t difficult at all. The first thing I did was send a pm to my tutor to check to see if I did have a tutor on the other end. He replied almost immediately and seemed very friendly and helpful. I just needed help once during the course and he was great with his response. Liked the course too. My only criticism was that a couple of the quiz questions didn’t seem relevant to the module they were assigned to. Or they were, but they were just a bit too general for my liking. It took me 3 weeks to complete everything required of me. That’s 12+2 modules and 2 lesson plans. The lesson plan assignments for me stood out as the best aspect of the course. They got me prepared for teaching real lessons. I got my soft-copy certificate and student recommendation letter the day after I completed all the course tasks and got the hard copy of the certificate delivered to me a week later. Finding a job teaching online hasn’t been difficult with the certificate. I now teach for 2 separate schools and between them, I teach on average 25 hours a week. This allows me time for lesson planning and pays pretty well. If I had to give TEFL Online Pro a grade out of 10, it would be a 9. I made a good choice with this school.
