Everything was easy to navigate and easy to understand. When I did have questions a tutor was available for quick responses and understandable explanations. With so many courses from so many different companies on the internet, I chose this one from tefl online pro because it was a safe choice. The positive reviews spoke for themselves and the company has won multiple TEFL/TESOL training awards. I also chose this particular program because the certificate doesn’t expire and you can teach online and physically overseas. I finished the course last month and I already have some teaching classes online. The price is very good, the support is excellent, and because the certificate is fully accredited it is recognized internationally. No negative comments from me. Only positive vibes. 101% I recommend this TEFL/TESOL program!

It wasn’t easy deciding which online TEFL course to take because all the programs seem to offer the same type of courses and it’s hard to tell which ones are legit.

I chose the 120-hour TEFL/TESOL with TEFL Online Pro because it was a safe option (reviews+awards) and the price was in my Goldilocks zone. It’s accredited properly (unlike some other programs, whose accreditation is not legit) and the staff are super supportive so don’t worry if you’ve never taught before.

It’s a 14-module course with multiple-choice quizzes and two lesson plan coursework assignments. I was very nervous about creating my first lesson plan, but Paul reassured me and gave me the confidence to get the job done. For the second one, I found the structure of the course and the course content jelled perfectly and I aced the assignment.

The other benefits of TEFL Online Pro include a career service, and visa support. These are very important if you want professional help navigating the job market. We arranged a 30-minute Skype call and discussed the pros and cons of teaching online vs. somewhere overseas. I decided to get my feet wet by teaching online (Preply+VIPKid) and now a year on, I’m in Hanoi, teaching adults and kids and some business English students.

If you want to take a course that will challenge you, actually teach you how to teach, and help you find a job, this is the program.

The program met my expectations and needs. It was my second attempt at a TEFL course. The first time, I made a poor choice by going with a program that wasn’t accredited. I didn’t know this when I bought the course, but halfway through I dug deeper. This time around, I made sure to properly do my research before jumping in a second time. I chose to take the TEFL through the TEFL Online Pro program because they have won awards and because the course is fully accredited. I’ve read that you can still find work with a TEFL certificate from an unaccredited school, but I’d rather have the peace of mind of knowing that my TEFL certificate is accepted worldwide.

It took me approx. 3 weeks to complete the whole course. This consisted of 14 study modules and 2 lesson planning coursework assignments. What also impressed me with the course was the speedy feedback I had on my coursework assignments, and how detailed the feedback was. The course starts slow and easy and gradually builds in intensity, but it never becomes too difficult or demanding. I thought it struck a nice balance.

My course certificate was delivered to me within a week of passing and TEFL Online Pro also helped me with my job search for teaching English jobs online. I’m currently teaching at 2 separate online schools and looking forward to my trip overseas this fall, where I have a teaching English position confirmed at a language school in Valencia, Spain. I plan to teach there until next summer, spend the summer interrailing around Europe, and then head over to Japan for a further year of teaching.

Considering the price I paid for the course, the quality of the course and support, and factoring in how much I’ve benefited from having the TEFL certificate from this program, I have to give TEFL Online Pro a 100% rating. I was trying to think of something I wasn’t happy with about the program, but I really can’t think of anything. Can easily see why they have won so many awards. Thank you, TEFL Online Pro!

Trusted TEFL Reviews has witnessed a worrying trend in the increase of TEFL certification scams in 2026.

When the pandemic hit, a lot of new programs began to spring up from nowhere.

Not all of these were scams, but many had been established purely to get in on the booming Online TEFL/TESOL training industry and make some fast money before they exited the market.

During that period, the Fed was printing more money than it had in its entire history (Quantitative Easing) and many people found themselves being able to save money and being able to afford to spend money on online training.

Move ahead two years and the global economy is in trouble.

There is a war in Ukraine and the Middle East, there are global supply chain issues, and the Fed is now in a period of quantitative tightening.

How does this affect the TEFL industry as a whole?

People have less money to spend because of the high rates of inflation and high-interest rates, and many people just don’t have the funds available to take an online TEFL/TESOL course.

As a result, there is less money pouring into the TEFL industry and some companies are at risk of going bankrupt.

To avoid this, some companies are becoming ever more aggressive with their false marketing and hidden fees.

Whenever I read things on TEFL websites like “we are the most accredited” or “we are the most recognized”, I have a bit of a laugh to myself- especially when I see that the company is not even fully accredited.

TEFL Certification Scams 2026 | Accreditation

Online TEFL TESOL certification course programs are categorized as either ‘Unaccredited‘, ‘Accredited‘, or ‘Fully Accredited‘.

‘Fully Accredited‘ is the highest level of accreditation, providing you with access to the best-paid TEFL jobs and ensuring that your certificate will be accepted worldwide for TEFL jobs and TEFL visas.

A TEFL/TESOL certificate from an ‘Accredited‘ program will be accepted for most low-paying jobs, but you may find yourself being turned down for some TEFL jobs and some TEFL visas.

‘Unaccredited‘ TEFL/TESOL certificates best suit people who will be doing unpaid volunteer TEFL work.

Despite these clear definitions that are globally recognized, I have noticed that many TEFL programs are falsely claiming Fully Accredited status when they are only Accredited or Unaccredited.

Fully Accredited Online TEFL/TESOL certification programs are essential choices because these programs have little risk of going bankrupt in difficult financial times and because TEFL/TESOL certificates from these programs represent the best bang for your buck. Period.

Out of the 54 Online TEFL/TESOL certification programs listed in the Trusted TEFL Reviews TEFL Course Directory, only eight are Fully Accredited.

If your TEFL program is not listed in these eight, it is either only Accredited or Unaccredited.

And finally, as the last point, many Accredited or Unaccredited programs don’t like that they are being listed as such on Trusted TEFL Reviews.

Instead, they want to maintain the illusion of being Fully Accredited because this is one of their main (false) selling points.

So what do they do? They tell their students not to believe the content published on Trusted TEFL Reviews.

Some students believe them, and others don’t.

Ultimately, people always believe what Trusted TEFL Reviews publishes when they find themselves turned down for a job offer or a work visa because their TEFL/TESOL certificate isn’t Fully Accredited.

They then have to quickly sign up for one of the TEFL/TESOL courses listed on Trusted TEFL Reviews that is Fully Accredited and internationally recognized, to satisfy the job and visa requirements.

Prompt responses. Great service. More importantly, though, the certificate opened the right doors for me for teaching jobs online. Having a fully accredited teaching certificate was worth the effort, money, and time. My tip is to begin applying for jobs while you are on the course because that way you can time it so you begin teaching once you have the certificate. This is the way I managed it. I received my certificate on a Friday and was teaching my first classes the following week. All the better-paying language companies expect you to have a fully accredited TEFL TESOL certificate. The ones I applied to, which were many, all expressly required that it also be a 120-hour certificate. I hadn’t taught before, but that wasn’t an issue in the slightest. They must realize that teachers gain experience when they begin teaching. It makes sense if this is the case. I usually have something negative to write about something that I’ve paid for, but this time I am honestly 100% satisfied. My advice is to go for it. Since I began teaching online, I’ve had so much more time for myself and I earn much better money than I was getting before. The TEFL Online Pro program is worth it. Obvious to me now why they are the top-rated online program. Recommended purchase!
