This online course was easy to navigate, and I could log in and study at times that suited me and my schedule. The course presentation and content were excellent, and there were fun tests to ensure you understood the content before moving forward. There is an additional fee for the issue of the TEFL certificate, which I thought was very reasonably priced when considering that this is a fully accredited program. Immediately after my certificate was issued, I started applying for jobs online.

It has taken a while to get my hours up to nearing a full-time teaching schedule. I’m nearly there now and before long I’ll be having to turn down offers from new students because I don’t want to teach more than 30 hours a week. Teaching online has so many advantages, but it is also exhausting teaching some students. This might not be specific to teaching online but might be the same as teaching in-person classes. I do plan to transition to in-person teaching this fall, and the certificate from CIEE will help me reach my next goal. I would say the course is well worth it.

Taking into account the price and the possibility to use the certificate for online and in-person teaching, I imagine this is likely one of the best online TEFL/TESOL courses you can choose. One aspect of the course that I thought excelled the most was the customer care support. All of my emails and messages were answered in minutes or within an hour or two. Really incredible service. I started out teaching online and have accepted an in-person teaching job in Bangkok, Thailand. For online teaching all I had to show was my TEFL/TESOL certificate. For the job in Thailand, I had to show my college degree plus the TEFL/TESOL certificate. Another definite advantage of choosing this program is that the certificate doesn’t mention that it was taken online and looks like it could be from a 4-week in-person TEFL/TESOL/CELTA course program. Very happy with the choice I made. No complaints.

Teach English abroad program Premier TEFL review, submitted by Mikhail.

The Teach English Abroad program offered by the Ireland/United Kingdom Premier TEFL has been an effective and straightforward approach to getting a foot in the door of teaching English in another country.

As a non-native English speaker, I will always be at some level of disadvantage because I wasn’t born in an English-speaking country, but I was able to excel in the course because of my deep knowledge of English. I had to learn the language from scratch and I probably know more about the language than some native speakers do.

I do need to asterisk my review by conceding that I haven’t yet begun my overseas TEFL job search, but I will soon and I have noticed the demand for English teachers is very strong worldwide.

This was a very well-put-together course and covers the fundamental knowledge required of you when you want to teach English abroad.

I would like to add a tip and that is that for certain countries a degree is required and for others, a degree isn’t required. I have my degree but if you don’t have one or just don’t have one yet, there are still teaching English abroad job options.

From what I’ve seen online, there are lots of jobs for people with and without degrees. Having a degree, though, puts you in the driver’s seat.

I was happy with my Premier TEFL experience and want to add five stars to my review. Thank you.

A great choice for the accredited TEFL/TESOL certification online.

With SO many different programs running online TEFL and TESOL programs, I thought it prudent and wise to just choose the program with the best student reviews, and that way I could be certain I wouldn’t be falling for a scam. https://teflonlinepro.com/120-hour-professional/ consistently came up in my search and when I saw how they had won the Teachers’ Choice Award 3 years in a row I simply chose them over the many other programs offering similar 120-hour programs. Plus, I wanted my certificate to be a TEFL/TESOL certification because my employer recommended I have both instead of only TEFL listed on the certificate. I had to get the approval of my school first because they were going to be paying for the course (I teach English in a small town just outside of Munich) and they also did their research and gave me the thumbs up to proceed.

I’m awarding the TEFL Online Pro program 4.5 stars out of 5. I never give 5 stars when I write reviews.

I’ll briefly list what I liked and didn’t like about the TEFL Online Pro Professional 120-Hour course:

Liked: Tutor access is quick to respond, 24/7, and comes free with the course; despite already knowing a lot about teaching English I was impressed with how much is covered in the course and how much it goes into detail; the ESL games included in the course are spot on and I have been using them in my classes since completing the course; communication with the TEFL Online Pro admin was faultless; the accredited TEFL/TESOL certificate was issued quickly and it looks presentable and professional; if I ever need help finding a job in future I can use the TEFL Online Pro job services for free.

Didn’t like: They don’t work on Sundays (although they do throughout the day on Saturday) so if you are taking the course and planning on studying exclusively on the weekends you’ll need to wait for a response from admin on Monday when they start back after the weekend; the first module was far too easy and felt more like an introduction to the course rather than an immediate jump into the pool.

Taking into consideration the quality of the course content, the quality of the tutor feedback, the reasonable price tag for the course, the fact that this is a fully accredited TEFL/TESOL certification program, and that my school employer recognized the certificate from this company, I’d say this is a program to strongly consider when wading through the many programs offering the 120-Hour teaching English certification.

Teach English Abroad. I escaped the 9 to 5 job treadmill.

Probably like many of you reading this, I was stuck in a job where I was paid too little and where too much was expected of me. The final straw came when a promotion was up for grabs and where I was a natural choice. It was given to another employee who had a family connection with the manager. That was it, I told myself. I was sick of working for relative peanuts and feeling that I wasn’t really going anywhere.

I became a member of many earn money online Facebook groups (none of them proved fruitful in any way) and then I became attracted to the idea of the travel and work combo. After spending weeks in front of my screen, I came across this teaching English overseas opportunity and it seemed like the perfect way to escape the 9 to 5 job treadmill.

As a (proud) Canadian, I wanted to take my TEFL through a Canadian company. ICAL was one of the companies which caught my attention, and after some further research, I paid for their 120-hour course and started their online teacher training course.

I was actually surprised by how straightforward the course was. It’s explained extremely well. OK, some of the units demand more brain power than others, but overall I would say this is a course that most Canadians can pass without any teaching experience.

A month later, I booked a ticket to Bali. A few weeks after that, I moved on to Jakarta. Bali is beautiful, but the teacher market there is saturated. I taught in Jakarta for a year and then did another couple of semesters teaching in Surabaya, where there are endless teaching opportunities and where the air quality is much cleaner than in the capital.

I met my future wife while I was teaching in Surabaya.

We moved back a few years ago to set up an online teaching business. We are still going strong.

If you want out of the boring 9 to 5, take an online TEFL course and redefine your professional career. It takes courage but pays back many times over. Freedom is not free, you still need to work your socks off, but it’s worth it in the end.

This is a really great (TEFL) program with amazing staff.

I paid for and got exactly what was advertised, and with the wonderful support of my tutor, I passed the course with flying colors.

The reason for my choosing to take the 120-hour course with tefl online pro was based on the other reviews published on this site and I can now say, having completed the course, that I completely agree with the overall positive feedback this school receives.

If I could give one pro, it would definitely be their international job guidance team services. They work really hard with you to make sure you get work after the course and they helped me with finding my job in Argentina.

If I could give one con, it would be that there was no practical teaching experience. But I did choose the Professional course which doesn’t come with classroom teaching so that was ultimately my mistake.

This school is definitely a very good choice!

It was much cheaper doing this course than taking an On-site one with observed teaching practice and which would have meant needing to study full-time. If you are thinking of taking a Teaching English as a Foreign Language course then I would definitely recommend taking it online. There were a few things MyTEFL promised but didn’t deliver on but all in all, I would say this is a pretty decent course and a pretty solid introduction to teaching English abroad.

For me, the most difficult part of the MyTEFL Professional 120-Hour Online TEFL certification course was wrapping my head around the grammar. They didn’t really teach us grammar at school and even though I obviously speak the language, I didn’t really have an understanding of how it functions. This course guides you through the different areas of grammar pretty well and now I can confidently say that I know the difference between Simple, Continuous, and Perfect grammar tense forms.

I do hope I’m going to be able to use the MyTEFL certificate later on in the year when I plan to go overseas to teach English abroad. MyTEFL does write on its website that they help with the process of finding teaching employment so that will definitely be an added bonus. I’ve got my mind set on teaching English in China, but I don’t have a university degree MyTEFL said there would be a way around this so again, more good news.
