My experience studying the TEFL qualification online with CIEE has been enjoyable. The level of education and the support I have received through this online program has been nothing short of wonderful. It’s great to see that this company cares and doesn’t just treat its student teachers like an inconvenience or a source of extracting as much money as possible from them. I would like to take time out to thank Tutor Annette for doing a great job in providing the support I couldn’t have managed without. Both Annette and other members of the CIEE admin made themselves completely available and gave the impression of genuinely caring about my course success. Also, CIEE has been working with me on my TEFL job options since completing the course. I would highly recommend CIEE to anyone who wants to earn a TEFL certificate while managing a busy lifestyle.

If you want to work in the EFL industry, this course is a good choice. It only took me 4 weeks to complete it in total. Found teaching work online easy with the certification. My only critical point is they don’t offer many further training courses. When they do, I’ll be signing up for one. This is a very organized company and their online tutors know what they are discussing. You can’t go wrong!

What I loved about this course was the interactive element with fellow trainees, creating a discussion pool where we swapped ideas and helped each other out in difficult areas of grammar awareness. I did feel that there could have been a lot more emphasis on lesson planning rather than creating cultural projects for different teaching geographic locations but I’m certain this will become invaluable for whichever country I decide will be my new home away from home.

The 150-hour TEFL course does take up almost 11 weeks. I’m not sure if everyone would be able to commit to such a long period, considering it’s a majority online TEFL/TESOL/TESL course, but if you do and can, you will love this alternative method of learning to Teach English as a Foreign Language abroad.

CIEE TEFL 150-hour online TEFL course certification program review.

I had a mostly positive experience taking the CIEE TEFL course. The actual course itself is written and presented very well, it’s engaging and the feedback from the tutor was top-notch. My only complaint is that it was quite pricey. They do help with job hunting, but I haven’t needed to ask them for help with this yet. Overall, I enjoyed studying TEFL online with CIEE TEFL, and I look forward to using the certificate when I feel it is the right time to make the move abroad.
