I just finished the Tefl course from Ciee Tefl. I’m probably quite a lot older (in my mid-50s) than the average age of a Tefl student I guess. Despite this, I managed to make my way through the course without coming up against any significant challenges. There was a tutor available online who gave great support anyway, so if I weren’t sure about something I would email them and ask for their advice or recommendations. I completed the course with a high final grade. If I can do it then anyone can. I wouldn’t say the course is that difficult. There were moments – mainly to do with grammar topics – when I felt out of my depth, but it was never so complicated that I felt I couldn’t work out how to understand the information. It also helped that I could apply the new knowledge when I created the lesson plans because this showed me how I was improving in real-world metrics.

I am 100% satisfied with my CIEE course purchase and feel lucky I found this online program.

In addition to being a fully accredited TEFL/TESOL certification program and the excellent customer reviews that this program has, I chose TEFL Online Pro because I wanted the dual benefit of being certified to teach online and overseas – anywhere in the world where they teach English. The certificate is good for both.

I chose the 120-Hour Professional course because it seemed like it would be the best fit for me, and it has been.

It took just two weeks to complete everything in the course – including the two lesson planning coursework assignments – and I received my certificate with a letter of recommendation shortly after (only 12 hours after because I chose the digital copy version of the certificate.)

It only took a few weeks between course completion and finding a job teaching English online.

I’ll teach online until the beginning of summer, and then I plan to head overseas to teach.

I’m very satisfied with this choice of TEFL/TESOL course provider, and I recommend teaching English online as a flexible way of earning money.

The only negative thing I can think of is that when you begin planning your online lessons, you do need to account for differences in time zones. I predominantly teach students based in Tokyo, so my teaching “day” occurs mainly in the evenings. This will differ depending on where you live in the world.

TEFL Online Pro was an obvious TEFL/TESOL course choice for me, based on all the positive reviews and the fully accredited status of the program. The fact that this company has also won awards (Teachers’ Choice) was also a big reason for choosing TEFL Online Pro. The price of the course was within my budget of what I could afford at the time- the course price is slightly more affordable than other programs offering the same TEFL/TESOL certification course.

The course content was consistently very good, and the quick response to emails was very impressive. I’ve often waited more than a week for an email reply from some companies that I’ve interacted with, so having a 24-hour turnaround on email exchanges was both reassuring and helpful.

I also received a lot of help when I was writing my resume and looking for work. Paul looked over my resume for me and let me know where he recommended I make changes. They didn’t charge me anything extra for this service. They also didn’t ask for any money for the help they gave with my job search. The course price quoted is the total price you pay.

It was incredibly easy to find work with this certification. I can’t compare TEFL Online Pro to other programs so I don’t know if students from other programs also find it as easy to get work after graduating from their TEFL course. In my case, I was teaching the following week after completing my TEFL Online Pro (120 hours) course. I recommend this program.

TEFL Online Pro’s online program has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. The program has allowed me to challenge myself in time management and self-delegation. Before starting the course, I wasn’t sure if online was a good idea because you are physically alone. You miss out on the interaction element. Although, the bricks-and-mortar TEFL experience is not for everyone anyway. I quickly changed my mind. I am a full-time worker, I live on my own, and I support myself at least 90% financially. TEFL Online Pro allowed me to obtain the International TEFL qualification while assuring that my other needs were met. The schedule is up to the student, as long as they complete the course within the 90-day time limit. I completed the course in 3 weeks, so I think 90 days is extremely generous. You are not alone online. The online tutor always provided excellent assistance and support, showing constant encouragement. I learned so much and fell in love with the subject. It helped me decide what I wanted to do with myself in the years ahead. I enjoyed the program so much that I have decided to pursue a teaching English job overseas when travel becomes possible again. It should be possible this spring. In the interim, I have been teaching English to online students. This is great for my resume, it pays well, and I’m building on my teaching experience. I am beyond satisfied and I would of course recommend this program to anyone who is looking for an alternative career and lifestyle option!
