Overall the course was worth it. I also managed to qualify for the discount which they were offering at the time. This was a sweet deal and made taking the TEFL course an affordable option for me. The course I took was the 120-hour one. It did take me about 120 hours to finalize everything from start to finish. Emails were answered quickly and with efficiency and this meant a lot to me too. It’s my understanding that a lot of the schools offering the TEFL in-person have changed over to the online format in recent years. When I was researching which TEFL course to take this seemed a bit strange to me because going back the same schools were claiming that only in-person TEFL courses are recognized and it isn’t worth taking the TEFL online. My course showed that the online TEFL is just as important because if it wasn’t I wouldn’t have been able to land an online teaching job with the certification. I think there is much competition between online and in-person schools. My advice would be to go for the online TEFL course because you save a load of money and you get the same certification in the end with the same teaching job possibilities.

Deciding on the TEFL Online Pro certification program was a no-brainer. What sealed it for me was how they have won the Teachers’ Choice award twice, and their student feedback is consistently rated high across the board. Another major plus for me was the price of the course. I chose the 120-hour Professional TEFL course. The total course cost was just $299. This included 3 months’ access to the course, a dedicated online tutor throughout my course study, the international TEFL/TESOL certificate and letter of reference, and help with getting my resume up to scratch and help with my job search. I had read that it is common among TEFL schools to add on hidden charges when you complete a TEFL course, such as extra fees for the certificate and extra fees for help with finding work, but this wasn’t the case with TEFL Online Pro. I just paid the $299 and that was it. The course is very well designed in that it is both educational and fun/engaging at the same time. At first, I wasn’t sure what to expect from an online course. I did have some concerns that it could be either too difficult, or too easy, but it turned out to be somewhere in the middle. It’s not a walkover, but then again it wasn’t restrictively demanding. After each module, there is a quiz to take, based on the module content, and I found this to be a very effective method of taking in the course information. I also had to submit two lesson plans, and this was a great way to get a feel of how I was progressing. Feedback on modules and lesson plans was provided in detail, and very quickly. Getting work after the course wasn’t an issue at all. With the helpful assistance from TEFL Online Pro, I managed to find a teaching English job online a couple of weeks after I completed the course. I am a very satisfied customer and a very satisfied English teacher

I expected the course to be much more thorough. I completed the 120-hour course in less than 10 hours. I am going to start volunteering virtually to tutor in ESL for a nonprofit and they accepted the certification so it’s completely legitimate. I have experience teaching and tutoring so a lot of the content was familiar to me before taking the course. If you have no teaching experience, go with another program. If you come from a background similar to mine, this will be able to get you in the door.

The Let’s TEFL 120-hour online course is a good option if (as in my case) you don’t have the option of taking four weeks out for the on-site certification training alternative. I was looking for a course I could study when I had time off from work and this version of the TEFL training fit well for me. The course is solid. I didn’t have any previous teaching experience of any kind whatsoever, so I was a little nervous when I signed up. I made sure to read the program’s website thoroughly, so I had a pretty good idea going into what to expect in the general sense, but I wasn’t certain just how involved and complex the information would get. This is the standout positive of the course. It starts off slow and easy and builds in difficulty and momentum. I personally liked this approach because if it had begun really difficult I don’t know whether I would have felt motivated enough to study on through to the end. I had to pay extra for the certificate and I thought the program could have been more active with help finding jobs and giving advice on which schools to avoid. Overall the course was great and I would probably recommend Let’s TEFL to others.

I enrolled in the Professional 120-hour course after exhaustive research. There are many courses out there – I chose TEFL Online Pro because of their excellent ratings and reviews and because of the structure of the course.

It has 14 modules and is very easy to follow. Instructions are clear and straightforward – you know what is expected at the start of each one and what the subject matter is. They are put together well and are logically structured – structured so they gradually become more challenging and complex as you move through the course. This was a productive way to learn and an enjoyable experience.

One of the things I liked is that you answer a quiz (test) after each module and receive your results immediately – you can see where your mistakes are (if any) and proceed to the next lesson. No waiting and wondering how you did and no final big test at the end!

There are also two assignments (Modules 6 and 11) where you get to create a demo lesson plan based on the skills you’ve acquired and I was pleasantly surprised at the VERY prompt tutor feedback. Giving positive and practical corrections and recommendations to errors I made gave me useful insight into my progress and a better understanding of the real-world application of the course materials.

This made it seem all very real for me.

I am very excited to start teaching and hope to deliver quality work to my English learners!

Overall, TEFL Online Pro fully met my expectations and I would gladly recommend this course. I give them a rating of 4+ out of 5 stars. Thank you!

The combination of strong study materials and good tutor support made taking the Bridge TEFL course a really good experience for me. The pacing of the materials is perfectly timed in order to complete the 120-hour course on time and I never once felt rushed or under pressure. I would advise though to budget your time out equally because I imagine it would be easy to fall behind if you skipped time on a module. I think this is the reason why some people have not been so happy with their Bridge TEFL course because they don’t realize that this isn’t a self-paced course; but rather a course with specific deadlines and a specific start and end date. I was very satisfied with this system of learning because otherwise I might have fallen behind had I had an indeterminable amount of time in which to complete the course. After I graduated from the course I paid for the hardcopy certificate and received it via the post a few weeks later. I am very satisfied with how the certificate looks and feels. My plan is to start teaching English online and then progress to an overseas teaching post later in the year.

I’m a little older than I imagine than the age of your typical TEFL student. At the grand age of 35, I decided that I wasn’t that content in my 9/5 job and I began searching for something which would jump-start my journey into a new career field. After reading an article about earning money online, I began reading up on teaching English online. It seemed to be the perfect fit: teaching wherever I had an internet connection and working independently. Further reading and searching led me to the TEFL Online Pro international program. I had many questions before I enrolled in the course – all were answered efficiently and quickly. This gave me the confidence that this was the right program for me, so I enrolled and began the 120-hour Professional course.

I must admit that I wasn’t very impressed with the first module. It was too easy and left me wondering whether I had made the right choice or not with this program. This is the only reason why I’m not giving the program the top marks of 5 stars. I did write to my online tutor about it and he wrote back that the reason for this is so that students have a soft start to the course, instead of diving straight into the deep end, but I still think there could be a lot of improvement in the first module.

The remaining 11 modules and 2 bonus units were extraordinarily good, and this is why I am giving this program an overall mark of 4.8 stars.

The customer service was excellent. When I had a question (and I had many during the course) I always got a reply back in no more than a few hours. Most of the time a reply was instant. Not an automated reply either. The feedback from Paul was at a high level and I want to write Thank You to Paul for his support throughout the course.

The course is full of quality content. I was surprised at how much content there was, and I was very impressed with how it was presented. The course is a responsive design, so it meant I was able to complete my work either on my notebook, tablet, or mobile – depending on whether I was at home or on the go. One of the features which I liked was that I could work both online and offline.

The course taught me a lot. Much more than I thought was possible for a course of this length. After receiving my TEFL/TESOL certificate and a beautifully written letter of recommendation, I received help with my online search for teaching work.

I began teaching English online, for a company based out in Japan, the same week I received my TEFL/TESOL certificate. Job done!

I want to thank TEFL Online Pro for making everything work out for me. I’m so happy with my choice and after reading reviews of some other programs, I know I made the right decision.

All they need to do is tweak that first module and then it’s a faultless course.

This is a relatively decent choice if you need to get quickly qualified to teach English. I thought the course could have done with having a visual component instead of the total reliance on text-based learning. Perhaps this is something included in their longer 160-hour TEFL. With the 120-hour version though it is all about reading text and then answering quiz questions. The course covers most of the areas I would have thought needed covering in a course of this type. The learning interface got a bit clumsy for periods during the course. It’s a cheaper course than some others and it does show. TEFL Full Circle was OK.

120-Hour Master Certificate Bridge TEFL review, submitted by Troy.

Overall, not a terribly good experience with Bridge TEFL.

For one thing, they rarely get back to you when you email them. I found this particularly frustrating when I needed help with something I wasn’t so sure about in one of the Teaching Grammar sections. After re-sending the same email about five times, I just gave up and winged the section. I chose Bridge because of their hundreds of four and five-star reviews on Trust Pilot. Having looked more into Trust Pilot, I can now see that a lot of those reviews are probably not real customer reviews. The 120 Hour Master Certificate course is pretty expensive, and they charge $75 to post your certificate. In my opinion, this course is overpriced and Bridge should really be a lot more upfront from the start about the extra certification expenses.

What did I like about the course? I liked how it followed a clear line of logic. You begin by studying the theory of teaching and end by covering the method of teaching. It made a lot of sense to have the course structured this way. Besides getting unstuck in the grammar section, I found that the other sections made a lot of sense. The section on Phonetics was exceptional. It was a real eye-opener into how and why we pronounce consonants and vowels. The videos were instructional, if quite outdated.

I guess this course would be useful for someone wanting to teach in North America, due to Bridge being located in downtown Denver, Colorado. I just wasn’t impressed by the lack of customer service. Bridge TEFL is likely a very popular TEFL school, with hundreds of students each month, and this shows – for all the wrong reasons.

I liked the price and the content. Overall I highly recommend the course, which comes with free online tutor access, excellent customer service, and international job support by the end. You get two documents once you finish: the international TEFL TESOL certificate with valid certificate numbers and a letter of recommendation. Both look professional. Of the many TEFL sites that exist, this one teaches you things that you can carry into your classroom. They helped me with the paperwork needed to apply for South Korea, and they are partnered with good companies. One negative was the amount of time it took to get from passing the course to traveling out to South Korea, but this is due to the bureaucratic nature of the South Korean teaching English program system and not in any way the fault of tefl online pro. I’m sure there are good and bad companies to take your TEFL with out there, and my experience with tefl online pro puts them on the top of that pile. Especially with how much support they help you with.

It was a very positive experience overall with lots of support and help when needed, and I eventually reached the goal I set out for which was employment. Tutors are always available to email when needed. Lesson planning assignments feedback was invaluable.

The course (Professional 120) is divided into 12 modules, with 2 extra ones included in the price (teaching Business English/teaching children/teenagers) It’s very user-friendly. Really liked the quiz section at the end of each module as this system motivates you to better yourself as you proceed.

The TEFL certificate was delivered promptly after course completion (a big plus, as I read some TEFL programs, can take an age to deliver it) I’ve genuinely had an amazing time and I would recommend this TEFL program to anyone, I have done so.
