Reasonable course. I have completed courses online before so I do consider myself a fair judge of distance-learning training courses as a whole. There were some glaring spelling and grammar mistakes in some of the text. It is a vast course (120 hours) to get through though so I wasn’t that shocked there were some mistakes made. All that is needed is for a proofreader to spend a weekend going through it and that should eliminate the errors. It was a pleasant study-when-you-want-to course. No time-constrictive study times and no pressure to complete coursework by a certain hour of the day. If you really put the time and effort in I think you could finish the whole course in a couple of days. It took me longer (3 weeks) because I was making notes while I went through each module. I can’t say the course blinded me with its awesomeness as some of its graduates claim. It did a reasonable job of conveying TEFL knowledge and TEFL practice theory, which was good enough for me.

Most important for me is I’ve had no problems during interviews for teaching jobs when I say I took the TEFL through this TEFL company. This is your run-of-the-mill TEFL course. Some negative mentions but overall mainly positive.

The content was great and practical. It was a bit of a struggle with the initial modules but later got more used to the unique way of studying online. I loved the way this course explained so clearly the grammatical principles, and how quickly I was able to understand how teaching English to students works. I can say I now understand the complexities of what is needed to succeed as an English teacher. Thanks.

Premier TEFL 120-Hour online review.

I opted to take the 120-hour TEFL certification course through the Premier TEFL international program due to what I read online: 120 hours is the standard number of hours required by employers around the globe. I noticed some TEFL providers advertising 180-hour and even 240-hour courses, but I couldn’t find anywhere why or how those extra hours would add in any way to your resume. So it was the 120-hour for me. Premier TEFL was helpful before, during, and after the course, and I found little difficulty in finding work almost immediately after completing this course. I was surprised at just how much teaching English work is available worldwide. So much so that I was pretty much able to pick and choose exactly where I wanted to teach. Because of this, I didn’t need any help from Premier TEFL to find teaching work, but if you do need help then I read on their website that they do provide this service. Teaching English abroad is one of the best decisions that I’ve ever made. Do it!

Choosing a TESOL course was a really exhausting affair: there are so many options! In the end, I narrowed my search down to Premier tefl, i-to-i tefl, and a TESOL course I saw advertised on Groupon. The Groupon TESOL was less than £100 and although at first I was tempted to go for it, after some more research I quickly realized that these super-cheap courses are probably not worth the piece of paper they’re written on. I’m not so rich that I can afford such a cheap course if you know what I mean. Premier tefl and i-to-i tefl seem to offer pretty much the same courses and their fees are very similar. I wonder, are they the same company? Anyways, I ended up flipping a coin and Premier tefl won the toss. I was very happy with what I paid for and I’m sure I would have been equally happy had the coin turned up Heads for i-to-i. The course structure followed a logical path and apart from a few extra costs I wasn’t fully made aware of at the start, I think this is a very good course and if you are considering Premier tefl and are reading this then there will be no big concerns if you sign up. I’m wanting to teach English in China, where a TESOL certificate is needed, so I’m glad I already have this under my belt.
