It was a positive experience. I could work at my own pace. The TEFL Academy accommodated me perfectly. Information provided in each unit is practical, useful, and accurate. My assignments were marked quickly with excellent feedback given so I could then improve on my next assignment. The instructions were clear and guidance was always offered. I do wish that more examples were given and shorter assignments instead of three long assignments. Overall, though, I thoroughly enjoyed the TEFL Course and I would definitely recommend it!

I am very satisfied with the customer service. MyTEFL was very helpful, professional, and friendly. They were understanding when I accidentally answered some of the quiz questions incorrectly and allowed me to retake the quiz. Replies to questions I asked were quick and the course was overall very enjoyable. I thought the section on phonetics was particularly interesting and it is going to be something that I use regularly with my students. I am now in the process of securing a teaching job overseas and the help I have received from MyTEFL has been great so far. I honestly didn’t realize that there were so many places around the world where it is possible to teach English. Thank you very much MyTEFL!

When I decided to do my TEFL course I didn’t know which program would be the right fit for me. This was also before I stumbled upon this review’s website. Perhaps if I had stumbled across it earlier then I might have chosen a different TEFL program. As it was, I chose Premier TEFL. Everything was straightforward. I enrolled online – paying without needlessly having to complete a load of arbitrary forms – and on the same day, I received my log-in details in which I could access my course studies area. IMO the course is very nicely designed with the student in mind. It is text-heavy, but I’m someone who likes reading through texts and reading diagrams. Personally, I think any course that relies entirely on video tutorials is just a lazy tuition program. At the end of each chunk of text/diagrams, there was a quiz to fill in. This, I thought, was a fun and effective way of testing knowledge. There were also assignments that I had to complete and I also enjoyed these. Overall I would recommend the Premier TEFL course for anyone considering a career change.

A friend recommended I take the 120-Hour Professional course with this company because he had completed it before, sometime in 2019, and the school where he works had a vacancy for a Senior English Teacher and this TEFL qualification was one of the few recognized by the school.

I’ve taught English in a volunteering capacity but never got around to becoming officially TEFL qualified.

So, despite my experience in the field of ESL, I was still expected to take a course. A course that I was sure wouldn’t teach me anything new because I thought I knew all there was to know about ESL and TEFL.

It did come as a pleasant surprise to me that I did learn quite a few new things in this course, such as Classroom Management Skills, Phonetics, and the complexities of Teaching Reading, Writing, and Listening.

The course is excellent. I even had a tutor, whom I would bother at unsociable hours for answers to (mostly) relevant-to-the-course questions. Kate, my tutor, always (and I mean ALWAYS) responded within a couple of minutes. TEFL Online Pro’s student support is remarkably efficient. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why they were recommended to me.

I passed the course with a 100% grade and received my fully accredited TEFL/TESOL certificate the same day. That is efficient for you!

As I didn’t require any job support services, I can’t comment on that side of their business, which is why I left off a star in my review. But they did write to me, asking if I need help in this area, so I guess they do offer their graduates help with this. I read somewhere that they also offer to help you with your resume or CV.

This is one of the cheaper TEFL/TESOL courses and one of the best TEFL/TESOL programs.

I also want to make it very clear that I paid for the course out of my pocket. The school I have a teaching job with didn’t pay for the course for me. So I am not someone writing about a free course they got. I paid for the course myself.

After reading all of the terrible reviews about this company I was hesitant about whether to proceed and enroll. Well, actually, I only discovered all the terrible reviews on the day I was meant to enroll. It all came as a shock to me. But I went ahead anyway and did my enroll for the 120 hours course MyTEFL.

I can see why some people are complaining about the course as it isn’t really a 120-hour course. More like a 20-hour course. but the price of the course was good. I only paid $199. Try finding a CELTA course for $199. Impossible!

English isn’t my first language so MyTEFL was a lifeline for me for entering the TEFL world. I might speak and sound like a female version of Borat ( ) but I would bet any money my knowledge of grammar is as good, if not better than the majority of Americans or Brits. Especially the Brits Well, the ones I’ve seen spouting out their dialects on Love Island No, seriously, I love American and British culture. It’s just that English seems to be a second language to a lot of them also

I also got a job with the MyTEFL certificate. It wasn’t the best course n the world. It wasn’t the worst course in the world. I spoke to someone from their Vancouver office and he was very helpful to me. Five stars.

I have not used their job-finding services yet – this is a review of the MyTEFL online TESOL course only.

I was really impressed at how the course was structured and how user-friendly it was.

Their study program consists of TESOL materials presented in attractively laid out modules; followed by multiple choice questions, which you need to pass 70% of to continue to the next module.

It’s very well presented. Funky even. And for a course costing this much, I was expecting this setup after reading through their website presentation.

I managed to pass the course with a high score grade – a combination of my hard work and (again) the way the course was set up.

For a course like this one, I don’t see why a tutor support element is needed. If you focus on and study through the materials effectively, I really can’t see how anyone can fail the course.

Adam, the MyTEFL go-to person, was really helpful when I was asking questions before committing to the course. I think he must be one of the main people behind MyTEFL because I see that he has written articles for MyTEFL on many TESL article sites dotted around the net. He was actually great, and I appreciated his in-the-know advice. I liked how he didn’t try to aggressively sell me on the job placement feature which MyTEFL runs parallel to the course.

I just wanted to get the certification under my belt and wait until the epidemic blows over, so (again) I can’t comment on their job-finding services.

Regarding the course though, I was absolutely satisfied.

I learned more than I had expected I would with one of these online courses which I was taking for the first time.

When push comes to shove and I’m ready to use the MyTEFL job-finding services, I’ll write an update on this review so others can tell whether it’s worth using this service or not.
