This course gives a comprehensive view of how to teach English and provides resources that you can use in your classes. I loved the practicality of the course and all of the examples of how to use games to teach students. Online and in-person teaching are both covered in the course, which is ideal for anyone who wants to teach either online or abroad. Support tickets were answered quickly and the support given was of a high level in terms of expertise and professionalism. I don’t have any regrets about the decision I made to take the Premier TEFL Certification course online.

No cons immediately spring to mind. Maybe there will be some when I start teaching but those won’t be related in any way to the Premier TEFL Certification course. I was concerned at first that it might be difficult to find teaching work, what with all the TEFL teachers already in their teaching jobs and there is only a limited number of teaching online jobs. This hasn’t turned out to be a valid concern because I’ve seen many jobs offered online and it looks as though there are currently more jobs available than teachers able to fill the places.

I recommend the Premier TEFL Certification course to anyone who wants to teach English as a foreign or second language. In these difficult times of war and inflation, this is an easy way to make a bit of extra money and if you teach online you save on transport costs. That’s what I’m planning on doing in the coming weeks.

My reason for choosing to take the Premier TEFL certification course online was that I read an article that was sponsored by this company. I had always wanted to branch out into a different employment field and teaching English felt like the right fit for me. I was happy with the cost of the course, and I had a good feeling from the company representative I spoke with on the phone, so I just went ahead and signed up. I did like how the course was presented and how I was able to study at my own pace. What I didn’t like, however, was the necessity to read through page after page of dense text. I’m a visual learner and would have benefited from a different approach. I also noticed some errors in the text, which did leave me questioning the authenticity of the course. Despite all this though, I did learn a significant amount of new TEFL information and the course did help me to develop my lesson planning skills. I already knew I wouldn’t be using the Premier TEFL job-finding service, because of the low-rated reviews, so I conducted an independent search for teaching jobs online and I found it wasn’t that difficult to find work. You do need to be persistent and keep bugging schools with emails, but it only took me a few months to get started so it is definitely doable. A tip for anyone reading this review is to clarify with your school how long a teaching hour is going to be. My school pays $15 US an hour, and that’s for a 45-minute lesson, so while $15 might not sound that great at first glance it is actually not too bad when you tally it up as a 60-minute class lesson.

Is Premier TEFL Legit? A good course with good support.

First the bad news. I’d advise you not to pay for the abroad programs. Premier TEFL charges a fee for this. What it essentially means is they charge for connecting you with employment agencies. You can easily find out this information by doing a simple internet search. The certificate costs quite a bit too, which was a bit of a surprise for me.

Now the good news. The course is cheaper than most others I saw advertised. I had a lot of help from the online teacher assigned to me during the course. Studying was a pleasant experience. I learned more than I was expecting. I didn’t find it difficult to find a job.

I was actually surprised by how much demand there is for English teachers. Because of this, it doesn’t make any sense to pay a company to find work for you. Just go online and you will see hundreds if not thousands of jobs for English teachers being advertised. Many of the jobs will ask for a degree and X number of years of teaching experience but when I told them I had neither I managed to be invited for job interviews anyway. Seems the schools ask for a crazy amount of experience just initially to set the bar high. A friend of mine told me about some countries where I would need a degree, so I just didn’t apply for jobs in those ones. She mainly mentioned Japan, Korea, and China.

So is Premier TEFL legit? Yes, it is legit. The course was really great and because of it, I could legally teach English in another country. I’d be aware though of being prepared to shell out more money than the advertised course price.

I took the Premier TEFL 120-hour online cert. course and it took forever to get a reply from the online trainer. So much so that I just gave up trying. I didn’t learn a lot on this course and having quicker feedback from my trainer would have helped a whole lot more. When I did get the feedback they were very generic responses, like cut-and-paste answers that didn’t answer my question.

I give two stars for the course and zero for the support.

Very well-organized course, and it’s great that I can work when I choose to. This was the main reason for taking the Tefl online. It’s so easy to find teaching work, so if I had a negative to write then it would be to ignore their Angloville volunteer program offers. The staff is very friendly and always at hand to answer any questions. For me, the Premier TEFL course was a really great experience and I’m glad I found out about Tefl. Who doesn’t want to travel to a far-flung part of the world and earn money by helping local people with their English language skills?

Premier TEFL 120-Hour “Advanced” TEFL/TESOL certification review.

This was one of the MANY online Tefl course options advertised through a surprisingly narrow Google search mechanism. I took it because it wasn’t going to break the bank, I liked the look of their website, and their general course offer too.

Their 120-hour “Advanced” TEFL course is their flagship certification course product. Nothing “Advanced” is about the course, so don’t get drawn in by this term. It does, however, cover what I wanted to learn and I even received some occasional support during the course.

Their website interface is excellent, and the course is fully responsive; meaning you can complete the course on mobile, tablet, laptop, computer, etc.

Despite being a 120-hour promoted course, it took me about three or four days to complete it, and I wasn’t working on it full-time, far from it.

They let themselves down though with advertised and expected finding work help at the end of the course.

You can do this yourself, but it is always a bonus to have an expert guide. When I didn’t agree to a Premier TEFL internship, they went cold on me, and that amazing customer service dissipated overnight.

A good TEFL option if it’s your first time abroad and if you need your hand held through the employment process from A to Z, with a resulting teaching job you would probably not have chosen if you had conducted a simple search on your own steam.

When you complete the course, Premier TEFL will leave you waiting weeks before they get around to issuing your certificate. When it arrives it looks great, but then it took me nigh on a whole 6 months to have it Ofqual verified. So if you are simply looking to take a TEFL course to begin teaching soon after, you should be aware of these extreme time delays with the delivery of your certificate. I thought the course was alright. Nothing exceptional in either a positive or negative way. It is text-based. I didn’t have an issue with this. Would have given Premier TEFL a higher-rated review, but the unnecessary delay in receiving my certificate, and the farce which followed, left an enduring bad taste in my mouth.

Ok, as a positive person, I will start with the advantage of Premier TEFL, which is the price. It was cheap. But cheap courses are cheap for a reason. So, penny wise pound foolish, I can’t remember ever being so furious and disappointed about the service.

Last summer I enrolled myself in a Premier TEFL course having been promised an Ofqual certificate. Having finished the curriculum I paid for the cert in August 2018 and was informed I was about to receive it within 6 weeks. As it didn’t arrive in 6 weeks I kept sending requests regarding it and was being misled.., oh, forget the euphemism, being lied to is a better word – for months about it, with the Premier team convincing me they did order it and I was on the next batch. I still have all those emails saved!! Then in January, I was informed I had never been on any batch at all and my cert had never been ordered as reassessment was needed to obtain it. So I did (having taken the day off) complete it on a platform that wasn’t actually suitable for that purpose, as when I was on my last question everything just disappeared and my 12 hours of work was lost. My working hour is 30 euros, so it’s easy to see how much I’ve saved enrolling myself in a cheaper course. Only after that was I informed re the assessment platform was different from the studying one and I should have saved answers!! Didn’t I have to be informed about it BEFORE I started, not after I lost the work??

As I am a single mother with loads of other things to do, I could not afford another day off, so I was promised as much time as I needed and limitless access to my premier TEFL account. Now I am on my 3 weeks holiday, so last week I decided to submit my reassessment and still haven’t got any response to the email I sent last Monday. So, I have no idea how and when I am going to find the extra time I need to complete it. And yes, they act much faster getting you enrolled than they do when problems being the direct result of their shortcomings arise. Appalling.

The 120 hours TEFL course provided by Premier TEFL Online is well thought out and I especially appreciated the 6 months limit to complete the course because my initial enthusiasm began to wane once I’d started and what with work and all I ended up needing the full 6 months. My bad. I also appreciated the lesson planning guide and grammar ebook which came complimentary. Overall a good choice
