Here is an honest and fair assessment of my time at Bridge in its online, TESOL program. First and foremost, let’s discuss ACCREDITATION. Yes, it is internationally accredited, and No it is not nationally accredited, so while you can find work with the certification overseas it isn’t possible to use the certification within the U.S. TUTORS. There are no professors that teach classes per se. They can be more accurately described as “facilitators” or “moderators”. They don’t grade assignments stringently. When I had a question or needed assistance, it would be hit-or-miss when it came to getting a response from them – depends on the day. For example, I was having technical difficulty submitting an assignment. So, I emailed the tutor to ask for help resolving the technical issue. I was able to submit the assignment the next day by resubmitting my work in a different file type; but, I never received a response from the tutor. As far as the tutor’s abilities, they did possess the appropriate knowledge that you would think a TESOL tutor should have. STAFF SUPPORT. I believe that the staff was friendly and helpful, and I don’t have anything negative to say. I always received great customer service when I called Bridge. COURSE DIFFICULTY. It’s not difficult at all. I believe most people could easily pass the courses. It was almost too easy, but for me, it was a relief since I was working a full-time job at the time and I wouldn’t have been able to maintain a too-demanding course and have to work 10-hour shifts. COURSE COST. Bridge TEFL is cheaper than taking the TESOL in an in-person program but is on the high end of the cost compared with other online programs. I can’t know if the extra cost is worth it because I can’t compare. JOB PROSPECTS. What I have to say about this is theoretical since I haven’t begun a job search yet. My current work contract runs up until July 2026 and then I will take a look at teaching overseas employment options. I read somewhere that Bridge help with this so I will contact them when I am ready to begin a search. BRIDGE RECOMMENDATION. I would recommend the Bridge TESOL program to people looking to add to their resumes and teach English overseas. If money is an issue, I would recommend looking into a less expensive program.

The Bridge TEFL TESOL online course ticked all the right boxes for me. It was a very friendly course, it added to my understanding of teaching techniques and presenting and practicing a new language, and it was a very good refresher for my grammar knowledge. The tutor I was assigned was awesome as well. The Bridge TEFL TESOL program takes good care of you by helping you through each of the modules and by being there when you have a question or when a problem arises. I don’t have anything negative to say about this program.

Overall a very good learning experience that I really enjoyed taking. What I liked most about this course (apart from the obvious advantage of it being an online course) was the excellent feedback that I received on assignments sent to my online tutor. I enjoyed taking this course and I did learn something from it, but there were some serious flaws, as I want to briefly highlight after describing the course’s pros.

The pros were mainly that this was my first online study experience and I was impressed with how it was even possible to study online. At first, I was skeptical, but now I wouldn’t think twice about taking another learning program online. The Bridge TEFL 120-Hour (Master) course is made up of thirteen modules and you get to cover what I imagine are the essential English grammar teaching topics, such as the Overview of Tenses section, which I found particularly of high interest. As someone who was born in an English-speaking country, I was actually amazed at how much I didn’t know about the theory of English grammar. So for me anyway, the course content was very good and I did come out with a decent foundation in TEFL knowledge.

The con of taking your online TEFL with Bridge TEFL is unfortunately that the course is over-priced. I enrolled in a timely manner because they were offering a limited discount on the course, but I have since noticed that this same discount runs on a constant basis, and compared to other courses which offer the same type of course this one is more expensive. Then, in the end, I was forced to fork out $75 for Bridge TEFL to mail me the certificate. If I hadn’t paid this extra fee, I would just have only received a certificate PDF copy.
