Here is an honest and fair assessment of my time at Bridge in its online, TESOL program. First and foremost, let’s discuss ACCREDITATION. Yes, it is internationally accredited, and No it is not nationally accredited, so while you can find work with the certification overseas it isn’t possible to use the certification within the U.S. TUTORS. There are no professors that teach classes per se. They can be more accurately described as “facilitators” or “moderators”. They don’t grade assignments stringently. When I had a question or needed assistance, it would be hit-or-miss when it came to getting a response from them – depends on the day. For example, I was having technical difficulty submitting an assignment. So, I emailed the tutor to ask for help resolving the technical issue. I was able to submit the assignment the next day by resubmitting my work in a different file type; but, I never received a response from the tutor. As far as the tutor’s abilities, they did possess the appropriate knowledge that you would think a TESOL tutor should have. STAFF SUPPORT. I believe that the staff was friendly and helpful, and I don’t have anything negative to say. I always received great customer service when I called Bridge. COURSE DIFFICULTY. It’s not difficult at all. I believe most people could easily pass the courses. It was almost too easy, but for me, it was a relief since I was working a full-time job at the time and I wouldn’t have been able to maintain a too-demanding course and have to work 10-hour shifts. COURSE COST. Bridge TEFL is cheaper than taking the TESOL in an in-person program but is on the high end of the cost compared with other online programs. I can’t know if the extra cost is worth it because I can’t compare. JOB PROSPECTS. What I have to say about this is theoretical since I haven’t begun a job search yet. My current work contract runs up until July 2026 and then I will take a look at teaching overseas employment options. I read somewhere that Bridge help with this so I will contact them when I am ready to begin a search. BRIDGE RECOMMENDATION. I would recommend the Bridge TESOL program to people looking to add to their resumes and teach English overseas. If money is an issue, I would recommend looking into a less expensive program.

The online (120 hours) course was very well organized. It’s divided into 12 core modules with 2 bonus modules at the end. The bonus modules were on teaching youngsters and teaching business English. It’s a Fully Accredited TEFL & TESOL course, which means the quality level of the content and support was high. Every time I asked a question, I got a reply within minutes or a few hours max.

My online tutor looked after me throughout the course and also helped me with my job search after I completed the course. There was no extra charge for this and it made the transition from course completion to starting a teaching job smooth.

The thing that stood out for me about the course was that there wasn’t one exam at the end. Instead, there were multiple-choice quizzes after each module (they were fun to do) and these helped me remember the content of the modules much better than if I had waited until the end of the course to be tested. Plus, I hate all-or-nothing exams at the end of courses.

I’m teaching online for the time being and that’s going well. The money is good and I’m able to arrange my students so that I don’t have any long periods in the day when I’m waiting from one lesson finishing to the next one starting. This frees up a lot of my time that would otherwise be spent in limbo.

I have just finished my 120-hour study course in TEFL, and the journey of learning was just awesome. I studied online using my phone whenever I had time and was able to finish the course in two weeks. Considering some TEFL courses cost almost $1,000, I was glad to find this fully accredited one for only $200. The content of the program was satisfying as it was right on the spot and I discovered so much more than expected about different teaching and learning styles/methods. I received my digital certificate as soon as I finished the course, which was also awesome. The course helped me take the first step into teaching and has helped in my career boost. One of the common complaints I read about online TEFL courses, in general, is that they don’t live up to the mark and fail to properly train you for real-life teaching. This course was the exact opposite. I was confident in my job interviews because I knew the subject material and all of the major teaching techniques, and I felt eager to start teaching and felt properly prepared for my first online classes. To top it all off, I know that I can teach English in any country in the world because the certificate is fully accredited. That’s incredible value for a $200 investment.
