There is a deadline to complete the course, but within that time I could access the course and study when I wanted. It’s full of information and there is always someone on the other end to provide a professional evaluation of the coursework. It teaches you which are the main learner levels and how to teach each of the learner levels. Bridge TEFL does this by incorporating grammar knowledge with teaching delivery skills. You don’t get to teach real students as it’s a fully online course, but you do learn how to effectively plan lessons and so I think it’s worth saving the money and taking a course without a teaching practicum. Anyway, from what I’ve found out, most of the in-person TEFL programs that do have you teach live classes with real students mostly just get you to teach other TEFL students in the course and TEFL teaching is just something you pick up along on the way as you teach more and more classes with real paying students. What I also liked was the support of the community of teachers who take the course at the same time as you do. It felt reassuring that I could reach out to other TEFL students in the program and discuss some of the more difficult parts of the course. If I had to list any cons it would be that I think the price of the course should be more affordable and the course could have gone on for less time. Other than that, this is a very good program that prepares you to teach English to all age groups and in many different settings.

It’s a bit rich Bridge TEFL terming their 120-hour Online TEFL/TESOL study course ‘Master’ because clearly to me and my work colleagues, it covers the same materials as other TEFL courses do over 120 hours. That’s not to say it isn’t a good course though, but I don’t think it’s worth $391 when other courses covering the same amount of hours and the same content charge less than this. I also wasn’t ready for the hidden certification fee. When I brought this up with the Bridge TEFL staff, they just repeated their request for the certification fee. A good course. Extra costs make this an expensive TEFL.

The 120-hour TEFL course provided through the Bridge TEFL program was a fairly acceptable product purchase. It covers what I imagine all these types of courses do. I am giving three stars for the course, but missing two for zero job support advice and a missing section on teaching English online.

First I’d like to write that I am happy that a website like trustedteflreviews.com exists as there are far too many TEFL/TESOL/TESL review websites online that seem to publish positive reviews of these school programs and it is clearly obvious that they must filter out the negative reviews as the majority of them accept advertising. I mean, how can they be trustworthy when they take money from the schools they are reviewing for advertising slots? Very shady indeed!

Unlike the previous reviewer, I had a decent experience with Bridge and I wanted to add my review of their school product.

I too took the Bridge TEFL 120 Master TEFL Certificate Course and I wasn’t disappointed. They make the whole learning experience a pleasant experience where you complete Modules at a time – at your own pace and with tutor support if needed – and when you’re done with one Module, you receive automatic access to the next one.

As their name suggests, the Bridge TEFL online program really was a bridge for me – helping me develop from someone who hadn’t the foggiest about teaching English into someone much more knowledgeable of it.

The only slight niggle was that the support does decrease significantly after the completion of the course and I could have done with a little more support afterward in finding a job. But again, this was only a slight niggle and definitely didn’t cloud my judgment of their overall service.

I’d happily recommend this program.
