There is a deadline to complete the course, but within that time I could access the course and study when I wanted. It’s full of information and there is always someone on the other end to provide a professional evaluation of the coursework. It teaches you which are the main learner levels and how to teach each of the learner levels. Bridge TEFL does this by incorporating grammar knowledge with teaching delivery skills. You don’t get to teach real students as it’s a fully online course, but you do learn how to effectively plan lessons and so I think it’s worth saving the money and taking a course without a teaching practicum. Anyway, from what I’ve found out, most of the in-person TEFL programs that do have you teach live classes with real students mostly just get you to teach other TEFL students in the course and TEFL teaching is just something you pick up along on the way as you teach more and more classes with real paying students. What I also liked was the support of the community of teachers who take the course at the same time as you do. It felt reassuring that I could reach out to other TEFL students in the program and discuss some of the more difficult parts of the course. If I had to list any cons it would be that I think the price of the course should be more affordable and the course could have gone on for less time. Other than that, this is a very good program that prepares you to teach English to all age groups and in many different settings.

I was pretty satisfied with this distance-learning teaching English course despite initially having concerns about taking it online as opposed to taking it in class. I guess it’s optimal to take any education study onsite but you won’t miss out on so much if you do take it online. One of the things with the Bridge course which stood out for me was how organized everything was. You have a start date and a projected completion date and in between, there is a course tutor to manage your time and access to each of the lessons. The ability to interact with other students was also a good aspect of the course. It did take a while to receive the certificate but I put this down to how busy my course date was. I’ve used the certificate for job interviews and haven’t run up against any brick walls so far. My only complaint is the course fee. It’s too high. Reduce the tuition fee and then I think Bridge will have one of the best TESOL courses around.

Bridge TEFL seems to have a mixed reputation. I can honestly say I’m glad I chose Bridge to earn my TESOL certificate. I was still able to work full-time and gain work experience while taking the course, and I have been able to apply the teaching method principles learned in the course in my online classes. The result of this is that I have developed into a much more effective teacher since taking this course. Also, the instructors were very good. I can see why some people might find the fixed study timetable as being a bit restrictive, but it worked for me because it forced me to apply myself. I highly recommend Bridge TEFL for earning your online TESOL.

The Bridge TEFL TESOL online course ticked all the right boxes for me. It was a very friendly course, it added to my understanding of teaching techniques and presenting and practicing a new language, and it was a very good refresher for my grammar knowledge. The tutor I was assigned was awesome as well. The Bridge TEFL TESOL program takes good care of you by helping you through each of the modules and by being there when you have a question or when a problem arises. I don’t have anything negative to say about this program.

Overall a very good learning experience that I really enjoyed taking. What I liked most about this course (apart from the obvious advantage of it being an online course) was the excellent feedback that I received on assignments sent to my online tutor. I attended this course, with trepidation, without really knowing for certain what to expect. Friends advised me to avoid taking a TESOL course online, but the online program reviews spoke a different picture. I can now write, with the benefit of hindsight, that it was well worth the energy, money, and time.

While I thought the course layout was excellent, as too was staff support, it wasn’t the best course I have taken online, but the TESOL certification at the end speaks volumes.

I am so looking forward to announcing to my current boss to stick it where the sun doesn’t shine, leaving my factory job behind, and beginning a new chapter of my life abroad overseas. Hence, the four-star review: haven’t started my job search yet.

Teaching English in an exotic location, earning money to fund my travels, helping people as I do so, and never having to fit car parts again.
