I have to say that in the beginning, I was very skeptical about taking the TEFL online. After having been in education for over twenty years, obtaining my degrees via the traditional college program route, I was not entirely sold on the idea of distance learning. However, having completed the program, I can write that this school has been a terrific fit. The school administration was very quick to respond to any questions I had and continues to be so even though I have now completed the course. My tutors were extremely knowledgeable and gave great advice. This made the learning seem more in real-time, as opposed to having to wait for ages for feedback. Because of this fast response time, I was able to complete the course in under two weeks. Therefore, I am very impressed by the professionalism they have shown me as a student. I feel very well prepared and am looking forward to getting started teaching English online. Thanks, TEFL Online Pro!!!

eLearning TESOL Certification.

I did the Tefl Academy Level 5 eLearning Tesol certification course. The overall learning experience was good and I learned a great deal of information. On the other hand, I noticed several spelling and grammar errors in the course- comma splices were a recurring issue. It surprised me that a course aimed at English teachers would contain such elementary English language errors. I’m afraid that these glaring details cast a shadow over my general assessment of the course. Tefl Academy should really have someone professional go through the course and correct all the errors. It just looks bad and doesn’t give a good impression at all. On a more positive note, I did persist with finishing the course and I can now look forward to making good use of the certificate. Tefl Academy runs an impressive jobs board, if teaching abroad is your plan, as I will be wanting to teach online I will be looking around on the web for those job leads. It’s a bit of a jungle out there, with so many companies to choose from, so I guess I’ll hunker down for a week and do my due diligence on which of them I want to apply to. I am glad that I went ahead with my Tefl certification, although I’m not certain if Tefl Academy was the absolute best choice I could have made. I am Tefl-qualified now, though, and I am looking forward to getting down to the business of teaching.

I was pretty satisfied with this distance-learning teaching English course despite initially having concerns about taking it online as opposed to taking it in class. I guess it’s optimal to take any education study onsite but you won’t miss out on so much if you do take it online. One of the things with the Bridge course which stood out for me was how organized everything was. You have a start date and a projected completion date and in between, there is a course tutor to manage your time and access to each of the lessons. The ability to interact with other students was also a good aspect of the course. It did take a while to receive the certificate but I put this down to how busy my course date was. I’ve used the certificate for job interviews and haven’t run up against any brick walls so far. My only complaint is the course fee. It’s too high. Reduce the tuition fee and then I think Bridge will have one of the best TESOL courses around.
