i-to-i TEFL review, submitted by Andrew.

They are polite and friendly when they want you to enroll, but once you have enrolled, their customer care is nonexistent. They just don’t seem to care. At all! Hidden fees all over the shop that are not included in the course fee. It costs around $50 (US) for a 2-week course extension. It costs around $150 (US) to have the certificate delivered. It costs around $100 (US) to get the i-to-i certificate certified to qualify for the Chinese Z visa. And it will cost you dearly if you accept a paid teaching placement with this company. They just want your money. It’s a real shame because the course was OK. Sure, it was riddled with grammar and spelling mistakes, but I learned quite a lot, and I thought it approached the theory of teaching in a relatable way for the student. Would I take the course again if I went back in time? No way. Will I recommend i-to-i to friends and people I meet? No way. I hope the peeps at i-to-i read this review and improve pronto because they just can’t be running a business like this. It’s just not fair to their paying customers.

i-to-i TEFL review, submitted by Christine.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone to do any TEFL course with i-to-i TEFL. Their customer service is like black and white before starting and ending the course and they have a lot of tactics to suck more money out of you. I felt they purposefully slowed down my study time so that I was forced to pay for a course extension, and then when I’d finally finished the course they demanded more money from me for certification fees (almost US$200!!!). Buyer beware!

It is blatantly apparent now that Love TEFL will promise you anything just to sign up for one of their courses and this is exactly what happened to me. The courses are falsely advertised and overpriced. The course is constantly on a “special offer” and the course content itself is pathetic. I’m sure the only reason why this company has many 5-star reviews online is that they ask you to review the course before they issue you your certificate. It’s like dealing with the mob. Give your money to them at your peril!
