Wonderful program. Wonderful support. I wasn’t sure whether the 120 Professional would be enough for me, or whether I would need to take the 140 Hybrid with 20 hours of teaching practice. When I called the school to ask for more information, they were helpful and open and didn’t try and give me the hard sell. Quite the opposite actually- they recommended I take the 120-hour TEFL/TESOL course which costs less money than the 140-hour. I share the same opinion of other reviewers that you get your money’s worth with this program. I did see some cheaper programs promoted online but when you look closer you realize those prices are without things like online tutor support and jobs/relocation support. I also noticed much more expensive programs, but couldn’t discern any difference in what they were offering. Regarding work, the school has a jobs team that contacts you when you complete the final module of the course. I began my ESL career teaching students online. It took two weeks to arrange everything to get me started teaching after the course. Almost a year on and I’m back in contact with TEFL Online Pro and now preparing the path for my relocation over to Europe for a February 2025 start date in Germany.

My overall take from this course was one of frustration and disappointment. I chose to do the i to i Tefl course mostly because of the can-do attitude presented on their sleek website. The course is made out to be a top-notch study experience with excellent customer service and a guaranteed teaching job at the end. In reality, the course wasn’t that great.

The 120-hour course took less than 20 to complete and this was because it is very basic. Some of the subjects covered do sound promising at first but when you get started you find yourself reading an extended synopsis rather than a carefully crafted study program. I understand that you can’t expect too much from these online courses but the study content in this course was way too general and wasn’t challenging at all. The spelling mistakes in the study content reinforced my overall take that a lot more thought had been placed on website design and marketing presentation than on the product itself. There are no customer services provided with this course either and good luck trying to contact anyone at i to i Tefl anyway. In the end, I did pass the course (no shock there) and I did get my Tefl certificate, which I must write looks good. I just went with the electronic version of the certificate because I didn’t feel like paying the exorbitant fee for the hard copy, and I decided to look for a job by myself because paying i to i Tefl for a job placement just didn’t sit well with me. I’m guessing the i to i Tefl course is better than the crazy cheap courses I’ve seen selling on Groupon but I can’t imagine there is that much of a difference in quality between them.

TEFL Online Pro 120-hour certificate course was a no-brainer choice for me because I wanted to enroll in a fully accredited course, and I didn’t want to pay an exorbitant course fee. I was comparing this course with the 120-hour offer of the University of Toronto and I couldn’t tell any difference between the two except for the price. TEFL Online Pro is CAD 700 cheaper. Apart from the price they are the same course with the same international recognition. Both are online and self-paced, both include job assistance, both qualify me to teach online or abroad, and both include specialization units on teaching Business English and teaching English to kids and teenagers. That’s why I chose TEFL Online Pro.

I loved the course. The content was beautifully presented and the support network was and still is excellent. It’s no wonder that TEFL Online Pro won the Teachers’ Choice Award again this year. It was truly a fantastic experience.

I’ve been teaching English online since finishing up the course in March of this year. Paul sent me the contacts for schools that were hiring at the time and I simply went ahead and applied and got accepted to a school within a week. It was a really fast process. I teach a total of 25 hours per week for Cambly. This is one of the best online teaching companies to work at. I haven’t had any issues with getting paid and they treat me well. There are always new lessons becoming available so depending on your availability I think it’s technically possible to teach as many classes as you want. For now, I’m satisfied with my 25 hours per week because another 5 are spent planning lessons for the week ahead. My starting salary was CAD 38 an hour and it’s recently been increased to CAD 48 an hour. I really can’t complain.

Highly recommend the TEFL Online Pro 120-hour certificate course.
