I was pleased with my ITA online course study. It isn’t a self-paced study program like the other ones I saw promoted online. Instead, you have a certain time to start and complete the course. I liked this because it meant I couldn’t drag my feet and I was time-forced to complete everything on time, which is a good thing for someone like me who likes to procrastinate a lot.

I thought the lessons contained in the course were excellent at showing me, as a future teacher, how to present topics to students in a fun but informative way. There were also assignments where I needed to submit lesson plans and these were graded and suggestions for edits were provided. I always got quick replies back. This was important for me because I needed guidance, and the guidance was provided.

The ITA course was very structured and packed full of information. I liked that it included information on how to teach English to different student learner levels. Just learning about the different levels was an eye-opener in itself. It does take some time to get used to the course platform, and there is a set time schedule for the course, and some people might not find that convenient. I did because I had the free time and the motivation to learn and succeed. ITA’s course takes four weeks to finish and the course certificate was delivered to my home address about a month and a bit after. I haven’t experienced any issues when applying for jobs with the ITA certificate. The one reason why I’m rating the course four and not five stars is because of the price of the course and the certificate. I’ve been doing some course comparisons and ITA’s course and certification fees are way more expensive than other similar programs. Do I recommend the ITA course? Yes. It was hard work and I gained a lot from my input and from the input of the course instructors. I often refer back to the course materials when I plan for my English classes and my students appreciate the structure and effectiveness of my teaching.
