Hiya, Trusted TEFL Reviews. I decided to keep my review short and direct.

Things I liked about the ITTT TEFL Online course:

1. I liked the flexibility of studying online. I didn’t need to travel anywhere to take the course.
2. The course sign-up process was straightforward.

Things I didn’t like about the ITTT TEFL Online course:

1. ITTT market their TEFL courses with job placement, but when you complete the course there is no help with looking for work.
2. I received my ITTT TEFL certificate from Thailand. I thought they were a US-based company.
3. The course was overall too easy, could have done with more video tutorials, and I noticed a few grammar mistakes in the modules.

Overall, I probably wouldn’t recommend ITTT TEFL if asked to do so. The course is quite expensive and the price doesn’t equate to the quality level of the product. Sorry that I can’t write a more positive review.

This is my honest ITTT TEFL review.

1. The course is OK. It is a text-based course, which means that you read a lot of materials and then complete multiple-choice quizzes. I know that some people have an issue with text-heavy courses. I didn’t mind so much. Videos can be a valuable addition when they are done right, but when they are of poor quality or just included for the sake of being included then I think they can be an unnecessary distraction. Besides, there is YouTube if you need to cross-reference any materials.
2. I paid the extra $$$ for a personal tutor, who touched base with me at the beginning of the course. I never heard back from her, despite requesting help along the way. I wouldn’t recommend paying for the tutor support. It is a complete waste of money.
3. When I had completed the course and tied up all the ends, I was a bit shocked that I also had to fork out $$$ for the certificate. It took a while for the delivery. This is because it was sent from Thailand and the international post can be slow sometimes. I did receive a tracking number though and it was fun tracking its movement from east to west.
4. After I’d paid for the certificate and then received it, I never heard back from ITTT TEFL again. They just ghosted me. I could have done with getting some post-course job placement help.
5. The good news is that I have a job now. I’m teaching English online and so far so good. I wasn’t completely dissatisfied with the whole ITTT TEFL training experience, but some of it did suck and I expected more from ITTT TEFL.

I liked the flow of the course and I was able to squeeze it into my free time while I was working full-time. There isn’t a rigid timetable or anything like that so you can return to where you last left off whenever you feel like it. I wouldn’t say it is a difficult course, not really easy either- it hits a nice balance between the two. I chose to pay extra for their tutor support, although I now see that some TEFL programs offer this service for free as part of the course price. Response times from ITTT were overall pretty good and I never felt left out in the dark. I’ll be using my TEFL certificate later in the year when I hope to be able to travel abroad to volunteer to teach English in Thailand. My ITTT certificate was posted from Thailand so I’m hoping they can help me with a volunteer job placement over there. Even if you are just going to volunteer to teach, I would still pay to take a TEFL course. Literally from the first module, I knew there were so many things that I didn’t know about teaching English- things that are essential to know if you want to be an effective TEFL teacher. I am happy to recommend ITTT TEFL.

I honestly didn’t know that you needed to get TEFL certified before you could teach English online, so it came as a bit of a shock to learn that I needed to take a course before I could start my job. I didn’t have any time to research all the different programs, so I ended up choosing the first one that showed up in my Google search. ITTT International TEFL TESOL Training. I think their headquarters are located somewhere in Southeast Asia because the envelope my certificate was delivered in had a Thailand postmark on it. The TEFL course was good and had some interesting activities which I’ll be sure to use with my students. Some of the teaching theory was also new to me too. Overall I enjoyed the course and it provided the segue for me to be able to officially start working as a teacher online. The only small gripe I had was with the extra charges for the online tutor and print and delivery of the certificate, but that was my bad for not reading through their website properly when I registered. When I take into account the complete price I paid, I would say it was well worth it. Definitely a program worth checking out if you need a TEFL certificate pronto.
