Nothing out of the ordinary to report. You sign up, pay, receive course access, take the course, complete the course, and receive your certificate. There is some employment support, but nothing really to write home about that much. The course is designed so that you read through the information and then complete a quiz after each module. I fully enjoyed this setup. The course did what it said it would, apart from a bit of a letdown regarding the ongoing support. Still, for the money, I’m not complaining.

I’m more than happy to recommend Let’s TEFL as a very well-organized TESOL program to get certified in teaching English abroad. My online tutor was very helpful. Actually, they were awesome! Always available to provide help whenever needed, and always quick with their responses. And I really couldn’t see how I could have successfully completed the course without this support. I definitely recommend choosing one of these online teaching courses with online tutor backup support. You WILL have questions/experience difficulties, and when you have someone on the other end with the experience and who can respond with expert guidance then this makes all the difference. Well, it certainly does in my eyes anyway. I didn’t need to make an extra purchase for online tutor support. It came as part of the course package.

When I completed the course, Let’s TEFL maintained its approachable manner with its post-course employment support. I had my mind set on teaching English in Cambodia, but I didn’t really know where to look online for further information. Yes, there are loads of articles written on this very subject, but I wanted to get beyond the background noise and get some local opinions from ex-pats on the ground. Let’s TEFL directed me to some hugely useful and reliable ex-pat forum websites and gave me a list of language schools operating out of the Kampot area. Finding work was really easy because there is a lot of work on offer in Cambodia for native English speakers who are TEFL qualified. I don’t have a university degree, but this wasn’t an issue for this part of the world. It’s coming up to a year now since I relocated to Cambodia and I haven’t regretted one single day since moving over here.

Let’s TEFL claim to be an excellent choice if you are wanting to teach in Asia because they are Hong Kong-based and they claim to be able to arrange Teaching English placements around the Asian region. They were not able to help me with finding job placement in China and I couldn’t have felt more deflated by their results. Lots of promises before I paid for the course were not honored when the course was complete and I was expecting some help to find work. As they promise on their website. The Let’s TEFL course, however, I found engaging. It was a choice between letstefl.com or teflonlinepro.com and I should have gone with TEFL Online Pro. Oh well. you live, you learn. In the end, I did find work, but it took a long time, and without any support with the job-hunting process I made a few mistakes along the way. If you are looking to teach in China, you will need help and advice. It is an absolute minefield out there. So many scams. I was lucky that I ended up teaching for quite a good school. It could so easily have turned out the opposite.
