I made the mistake of trying to save money on a dirt cheap TEFL online course and I paid the price for it (a cheap, Groupon deal). I think I paid around 20 bucks for it. The course was an absolute joke. As was also how the certificate looked. No employer is going to take it seriously, and I feel inadequate to even start teaching because I didn’t learn very much with the very light on content materials aspect. So, money down the drain, and now I’m forced to choose another one to take. Be aware that I think they run their courses through different school names. One of them being TEFL Cambridge.
