When I first started the course they were very helpful but when I started to have questions my tutor would just answer with one or two sentences and seemed like he was annoyed he had to provide answers. Also, the course is only text with no pictures and I noticed quite a few grammatical mistakes in the content. It didn’t help my teaching confidence and I didn’t feel as though I learned anything of value.

I thought this was a very good course. Easy to navigate. Detailed course content. The price was fair. Course support was available. I was able to use the certification without issues during my job search for teaching work overseas.

Prague was always my first teaching English location choice and I just went for it. Nobody ever asked to see my certification. Schools just wanted to know if I had a TEFL certificate and/or any teaching experience.

So glad I decided to save the $$$ and take an online TEFL course and UK TEFL came through for me.

Review of the TEFL UK Online certification course program.

I felt there was just too much text and that the information could have been combined with more pictures. The course is essentially just long paragraphs of writing, which becomes tedious quite early on. It made me feel dizzy at times.

However, it did mean that I was able to cover a lot of information, but I’m just not sure if this form of tuition is a method that sticks in the memory of learners.

I completed the course a while back and still no job. I also feel UKtefl could help more with the job-hunting process. I have looked online but would be good to have a sounding board as I don’t know what the going rate for teaching English is and the best places to teach English.

Not the worst course. I learned a lot. Just had issues with the course format and getting a job after.

The course was very detailed and not so deep all at the same time. A lot of text to read through which made it quite uncomfortable for my eyes. Otherwise, everything was fine. There were additional things to pay for at the end, but they didn’t add up to a huge amount and I was semi-fine with this. Job support is OK. Nothing too fancy, but I already had a teaching job lined up anyway so didn’t need to use this service. I think a course is a solid option for TEFL newbies, as it will teach you the basics and then get you headed in the right direction. What I would recommend is before you pay for your course make sure to ask UK TEFL exactly how they will help you look for work. As far as I could gather, they just direct you to their jobs page. But I may be wrong. The UK TEFL 120-hour Online TEFL certification course worked for me – I only needed proof of a TEFL course completion for my new employer. Not an excellent course, not a terrible one either. You should be just fine.

The course was quite easy to follow and wasn’t the most in-depth course that I’ve ever taken but, I’d still recommend it because of where it gets you. TEFL is a great way to have the possibility of traveling and also being able to earn money on the way. I never knew an option like this was even possible until I saw one of my school friend’s Facebook updates one day and realized he was in Myanmar teaching English. I think TEFL is a great way to meet local cultures and a great way to extend your time abroad.
