I have been a high school teacher for the majority of my professional life, and as I’m reaching the age where it is always a good idea to change careers, having money saved in the bank, TEFL is the next chapter of my life. I was disappointed though with the TEFL Full Circle TEFL offering. The course does not prepare you enough and I considered the syllabus to be a bit shabby around the edges. I did not mind the typos because, with any online material, these can’t always be escaped from. However, the course materials were not up to the standard with which I had anticipated.

I did have a tutor and she was sometimes helpful to a degree. But it felt as though she wasn’t TEFL trained herself (sorry tutor, it’s nothing personal).

I felt satisfied with the look and feel of the certificate but felt duped by their advertised employment abroad service that never materialized.

Despite the false advertising, my banker advised me that I probably wouldn’t be successful in retrieving the course fee because I had confirmed receipt of the certificate.

Does anyone here have any tips for a recruitment agency?

Still waiting on the notarized copy of my Tefl Fullcircle certificate. I chose the course because of its wonderful reviews on Groupon, but I have had almost the opposite experience. Once you pay, it’s like extracting a tooth from a tiger when you need something from these people. The course was an incredible letdown and despite a tutor coming as part of the package, they were absent throughout. And $199 for the certificate notarization? Which I’ve been waiting on since 2019. Forget this company. They have a sleek website and that’s the only reason I gave them two stars. The other three missing stars are for the lesson learned not to have gone for such a misleadingly cheap course.

My opinion of this online TEFL course is that it does what it says on the box. If you are just in it to get a TEFL/TEYL certificate then this is one of the courses you should consider. A different reviewer wrote that it is a ‘no-frills’ TEFL course and I’d have to agree. You purchase a course, you study, and you get your certificate. And that’s all folks. But if this is all you are after then I’d say go for it. Just be prepared for a lot of scrolling through a lot of text and don’t assume this course will take 120 hours to complete. If you study for a few hours a day you could have it done within a week or two. But again, this is a cheap TEFL option so understand that you’ll receive what you paid for. No one fluttered an eyelid when I showed it for job interviews. All they wanted to see was if I had the TEFL. A possible certification option for people on a shoestring budget.

The interface was a complete mess. Would crash when I was in the middle of saving my work. Was often offline over the weekends, and often during the night, which was (my daytime) when I had my short study window.

I foolishly bought it at an 87% reduction, which at first felt like a steal, but there’s a reason for the huge discount.

The study content was very uninspiring. Might as well have bought a TEFL book and printed out a certificate myself.

The spam mail was an issue that didn’t stop for a good year after I’d said “see ya later” to TEFL Full Circle. They really push for the up-sell. God, it was like flying Ryanair, only worse.

I’m giving the TEFL Full Circle 120 Hour 17 Module course 2 stars.

I paid for a TEFL Full Circle TEFL course, and I did receive one. Albeit, one I would never, ever recommend anyone taking.

Do NOT waste your money on the TEFL Fullcircle online TEFL course. Not only are the lesson plans insanely dull but the company itself is horrendous. Terrible navigation issues too. The only thing they care about is money. I had sent in my final assessment and never received any sort of confirmation which leads me to believe they never actually read it and you literally just waste your time creating the written exam and lesson plan. Not only does it take forever to grade the final assignment but they also lie when they received it in hopes of extracting more money from you. The certificate when you finish is not free either! I read many bad reviews of this program but chose to ignore them. I was blinded by the incredibly cheap course price. In the end, you will just be throwing your money out the window. Avoid like the plague!
