I was browsing the internet for a good TEFL course online. I am a full-time teacher, but I wanted to expand my own skills a little bit. I did some research on a variety of courses and realized there are a lot of TEFL courses and deciding on the right one was tricky. The TEFL Academy seemed legit to me. I started doing the course online and found that each unit was easy to understand. The course covered a variety of essential topics, including reading and writing lessons and teaching methods. The fact that there were interactive questions to check if you are on track really helped. The progress from one unit to another was easy to follow. I do see that if you are not familiar with teaching how some of the information would be a little bit tricky. I could see the value of every unit and why this is important within an ESL classroom or lesson. There are 3 activities to do before completing the course. The instructions were clear with good sample documents. The feedback from the assignments was not as thorough as I hoped, but I did understand why I received the mark I did. It took me 3 months to complete the course however, they allow you 6 months. The last chapter of the course has resources on cv structuring, cover letter, and tips, and websites to look for a job in the ESL teaching world. I have done other online studying where the instructions were unclear and there was not any help or support. That is why I have recommended The TEFL Academy to some of my friends. It has been a hassle-free and fulfilling experience. They were quick to respond to any queries that I had. I feel accomplished for completing the course and believe that this is truly a great expansion of my CV.

Taking the TESOL course online is one of the best decisions I’ve made since I graduated college.

With SO many programs offering this certification, it was incredibly difficult to decide which one to choose from the crowd. The thing about tefl online pro that stood out for me was that they won the Teachers’ Choice Award last year. I liked this and it was the deciding factor in my final choice.

You receive instant access to the course when you make your payment through their school website, which meant I was all good to go starting on the first module within minutes of signing up. They also issue an introduction email when you pay and I thought this was a nice touch.

I took the 120-hour course so it meant working my way through 12 modules and 2 extra units. So 14 modules in total. Each module concludes with a comprehension quiz (a very enjoyable way to revise the materials) and then you are automatically given access to the next module. All in all, I can write that the course is a very well-oiled system. It’s also responsive, so working on your phone (and likely on your tablet too but I never tried it) is not an issue. So the content is great and it’s a modern learning interface.

When you finish they (tefl online pro) issue your recommendation letter and certificate quickly and are there to give helpful information on jobs and all that is connected with finding one.

If there is one room for improvement it would have to be the first module. I understand that the course is designed to start easy and develop gradually more difficult as it progresses, but the first module (IMHO) is a bit of a joke. It’s way too easy and had me worried that the rest of the course might be the same and that I had made a mistake purchasing the course. Thankfully the other 13 modules are nothing like that first module!

The takeaway I got was that the tefl online pro 120-hour TESOL course online was really great value for money. I paid $299 and recuperated my costs in the first week of teaching. The course and support (besides that first module) were solid throughout.

I wanted to graduate from TEFL by doing one of the in-person courses overseas but because of the lockdown, I chose to take it online. The TEFL Training College certification TEFL seemed like a safe bet and so I enrolled and began my studies online. Looking back, I’m glad that I chose the online option as it is a significant saving on traveling to attend the course in another country, and as far as I can see the distance learning certification is as well accepted as the in-person one. The only real negative for me of taking this certification online was that towards the end I had to focus on applying myself to the course content and trying not to be distracted by other things popping up on my screen. If you have the self-control and determination I (again from my own experience) recommend the online over in-person TEFL option to save money and receive the same certificate at the end.

Tefl Online Pro 120-hour online course review.

A very good program with a very effective office response throughout the course. I was originally booked into a residential program in Madrid, but because of the Coronavirus, I had to 180 degrees change my plans. TEFL Madrid wouldn’t refund my course deposit. Luckily, I only paid a deposit! Many people booked up on onsite courses now will be losing any money invested. The online TEFL option was the natural choice for me and Tefl Online Pro was my final program choice. No issues at all. Quick feedback from their office staff. Took their flagship 120-hour course. I viewed it as an onsite course without actual physical attendance required. Two weeks of self-imposed quarantine and all was done and complete. I’m now continuing my quarantine with online teaching jobs. Tefl Online Pro helped me with this. A program worth taking for all the reasons explained above. Five-star course and five-star service.
