I wanted to graduate from TEFL by doing one of the in-person courses overseas but because of the lockdown, I chose to take it online. The TEFL Training College certification TEFL seemed like a safe bet and so I enrolled and began my studies online. Looking back, I’m glad that I chose the online option as it is a significant saving on traveling to attend the course in another country, and as far as I can see the distance learning certification is as well accepted as the in-person one. The only real negative for me of taking this certification online was that towards the end I had to focus on applying myself to the course content and trying not to be distracted by other things popping up on my screen. If you have the self-control and determination I (again from my own experience) recommend the online over in-person TEFL option to save money and receive the same certificate at the end.

Support during and after the course left a lot up to the imagination as both were nonexistent. I thought the course was ok. I took the 150-hour course and completed it in 20 hours. In all fairness to TEFL Training College, I did steam through the modules without really reading the content. It’s set up this way so I didn’t see anything wrong with my doing this. They are not accredited, but that didn’t prevent my school from employing me based on having completed a TEFL course online. This is a good course if you just need to flash someone a certificate.
