I recently completed the Professional TESOL certification course through Tefl Online Pro and I recommend this program to anyone wanting to get TESOL/TEFL certified.

Compared to a lot of the other TESOL/TEFL programs offering the 120-hour course I thought Tefl Online Pro offered the best value for money. I enrolled in March, just when the pandemic was picking up, and completed the course two weeks later. I’m not certain whether it usually takes the average person two weeks to complete, but I did it this time by studying in the evenings and working through the (two) weekends. A special mention has to go to Paul Murphy, the Tefl Online Pro Operations Manager because he was outstanding with his replies. He was so quick getting back to me and so helpful! I felt in good hands on this Tefl Online Pro course program and Paul was just exceptional.

It was also very convenient to take the entire course online.

When you sign up, Tefl Online Pro email you your password and username to type into the website and start your course. I think it took a couple of minutes only to receive this information after paying for the course. The subject material does get pretty intense at times, especially in the grammar and phonetics modules, but overall I didn’t feel that I was becoming unnecessarily overwhelmed by the content. It’s not an easy course, but it’s certainly manageable. I went into the course without any previous teaching English knowledge or experience and I passed with a 92% total grade. So don’t worry if you haven’t studied TESOL/TEFL before. They explain everything very clearly and when you do get a bit unstuck you have the online tutor help option with fast response times.

I will want to teach overseas but because of Covid, I’m teaching online until the world starts opening up again. I currently teach 18 hours per week and earn an average of $28 US per hour. I’m pretty satisfied with this arrangement for the time being.

The Tefl Online Pro Professional course was an excellent experience and I highly recommend this program.

I’m in the middle of taking the Professional Tefl Online Pro course. With the discount, I paid about $200 for the course and so far it is excellent. I’ll easily make that money back in just one day by teaching English in South Korea!

The modules are engaging and easy to follow. I wouldn’t exactly describe them as like taking a walk in the park, but the user-friendly coursework notes set you up to succeed.

The person who wrote this course must be a grammar nerd because you feel the excitement whenever a grammar topic gets presented I’m beginning to share his/her excitement a little too, but grammar was never really my number one priority (lmao). But hey, stuff happens

Top marks by the way to Paul for helping me get started on the course and following up on his promise that he would personally be my online tutor help. I originally thought I had to pay for this, but it’s included in the price of the course fee.

It’s also really cool how you can work either online or offline.

The only downer so far was when I forgot my password and had to wait until the Tefl Online Pro office reset it for me. I didn’t realize you could reset it yourself at the start of the course to make it more memorable. Perhaps they should make this clearer when people like myself log in for the first time.

Anyways, nothing bad to report so far and the more I study on the course the more excited I get about thinking about where I’m going to be teaching when I’m finished in a few weeks’ time. I mean, damn it! I’ve got a whole load of countries on my bucket list and this TEFL is my bucket list ticket!

I’ll update if anything negative does pop up. So far though, everything is awesome just as other reviewers have reported back on.

Fast-Track 60-Hour International Online TEFL Certification Course

I had been teaching remotely for some months, and my company wanted me to gain a TEFL certificate.

I chose TEFL Online Pro after reviewing the various companies that offered online courses. I am very happy that I chose this company. I didn’t need a 120-hour course, so I saved time and money, by doing the fast-track 60-hour course.

Firstly, the technology works well. Login-in, accessing the account, the course material, and the multiple-choice tests all work flawlessly. My assigned contact (Paul) always answered my emails quickly and marked my assignments immediately, and with sensible comments.

The course material, for the most part, is very well written; the questions are reasonable, and there are a few where it’s obvious that they are intended to test what you’ve read, rather than understood, but multiple-choice questions are always going to be like this.

If so inclined, you could race through this course without truly taking much into long-term memory. I didn’t, and I am happy with the learning experience. The course has two assignments which are fun to do, and if you spend time researching the topics, very educational. I learned a lot about tenses, an area where I was a bit sketchy before.

I teach online, so I didn’t need the last session which is for those who intend to work abroad – but it’s very well written and informative. For those interested, the site also has lots of links to relevant articles.

You can find companies who charge less (“ ’Ere gov – wanna buy a certificate?”), and if you’re dripping in cash, a lot more, but if you want a sensible course for sensible money, I heartily recommend Tefl Online Pro.

If there comes a time when I’ve got some money to spare, I’ll probably take their top-of-the-range course.
