Even when I thought I&#8217;d gotten the hang of all the grammar, I still found new areas to learn. My advice before taking this course is to invest in a good grammar book and do some grammar prep before starting because there is a lot of grammar covered in the course and some sections of it were difficult to take in at first. Grammar definitely isn&#8217;t exciting to study but is so important if you want to have the basic foundations for teaching TEFL. Had I not taken the course and had I chosen to teach without the TEFL I just don&#8217;t know how I would have been able to manage it. So my strong advice is to take grammar seriously because it will help you in the long run. I chose this specific TEFL online program because I&#8217;m hoping to teach in South America next year. Maximo Nivel TEFL seemed like it was one of the only TEFL programs specialized in placing students in teaching positions there.
