While the course content itself was average \u2014 not great, not terrible \u2014 my biggest issue lies with how the qualification is marketed and the way the company has handled things after the course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The biggest confusion I&#8217;ve faced is around the \u201cLevel 5\u201d label. It sounds impressive, but in practice, almost every employer I&#8217;ve spoken to is just asking for a 120-hour TEFL certificate. No one seems to understand or care about the &#8220;Level 5&#8221; designation. I\u2019ve had to explain it over and over again, and it has honestly made my job applications more confusing, not less.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What made things worse was TTA\u2019s aggressive approach to getting reviews. I received repeated emails asking \u2014 almost demanding \u2014 that I leave a review. I replied and said I didn\u2019t want to, but then I noticed a review with my full name posted on a different review platform. I never wrote or approved that review. That kind of dishonest and potentially illegal behavior completely shattered any remaining trust I had in this company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If it weren&#8217;t for that, I probably would have given this course 3 stars. It met the minimum expectations for a TEFL course. But given how my name was used without consent and how the course is misrepresented to students, I feel I have no choice but to rate this experience 1 star.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unfortunately, I wouldn&#8217;t recommend The TEFL Academy. There are more transparent and trustworthy TEFL providers out there.
