ITA is a Solid Choice For TEFL.
I’m a bit older than your average English tutor. 61 years young this year to be exact. I thought it might be a good idea to travel and teach and to push myself. ITA was one of the programs which I found and I liked what they were offering. There is a steep learning curve to become familiarized with the program’s study LMS. This took a few days. I did become used to it quite quickly though. One of the standouts is the shared community space where you chat with other participating students in the program. I have quite the list of teaching experience and I didn’t find the course to be out of my reach. Given what I know now about teaching (again, long list) I can safely say that this is a grounded and comprehensive TEFL online course.
I’ve been applying for jobs in the Middle East. Last week I had a reply from a school based in Dubai. My TEFL certificate is recognized there and I’ve always wanted to visit Dubai anyway. Working and living there is a double bonus. I’m currently working with the International TEFL Academy staff to smooth the transition over.
It’s incredible to me the sheer amount of possibilities open to people of all ages to be able to earn a living by doing something that is enjoyable and life changing.
