The ITA course was very structured and packed full of information. I liked that it included information on how to teach English to different student learner levels. Just learning about the different levels was an eye-opener in itself. It does take some time to get used to the course platform, and there is a set time schedule for the course, and some people might not find that convenient. I did because I had the free time and the motivation to learn and succeed. ITA’s course takes four weeks to finish and the course certificate was delivered to my home address about a month and a bit after. I haven’t experienced any issues when applying for jobs with the ITA certificate. The one reason why I’m rating the course four and not five stars is because of the price of the course and the certificate. I’ve been doing some course comparisons and ITA’s course and certification fees are way more expensive than other similar programs. Do I recommend the ITA course? Yes. It was hard work and I gained a lot from my input and from the input of the course instructors. I often refer back to the course materials when I plan for my English classes and my students appreciate the structure and effectiveness of my teaching.

I agree with you, Andrea. ITA TEFL is top-notch. Expensive as hell though.
Soo how do we file a class action lawsuit??
I have lost THOUSANDS for tuition, a flight, accommodations and other expenses to attend the 4-week course at a physical ITA campus. Then, on the stellar advice of the ‘alumni assistance’ department, flew to Germany with no Visa (‘look at this site here, it says Americans with marketable skills/qualifications can actually go to Germany without a Visa, and get a job and a residence permit after arriving!’) …only to find that the TEFL cert is virtually worthless in the EU. I can easily bring my TEFL cert to the appropriate bureau in Germany and pay for them to officially, legally, NOT recognize it, explicitly debunking ITA’s promises of ‘global recognition’. I’ll just add the €800 submission fee to my losses. So really — I am SUPER ready to cooperate in a suit.
