I chose to take this particular course because I’m living in Cambodia and I could choose to take the teaching practice hours here in Phnom Penh, as opposed to taking them onsite in Bangkok. I ended up teaching half my hours in-person, to the students I’ve already been teaching English to, and the other half to online students based out in the countryside. Another reason why I chose the Vantage TEFL course is that I plan to relocate to Thailand, and I felt that having a Thai-issued TEFL certificate would possibly give me an edge over other applicants. I liked the course a lot and I can confirm what other reviewers have written about the staff at the Bangkok office being exceptionally helpful and friendly. I found the course to be easy, but that’s because I’ve been teaching English for almost two years now. I would say that the course difficulty level is correct for people with no previous TEFL experience. If you plan on teaching English in Thailand, this course is the way forward.
