Don’t trust The TEFL Organization! I was drawn in by the cheap course price and the promises of international travel. They seemed legit enough to me because they claim to be accredited. This is a fraudulent lie. The accreditation body that supposedly accredits this shady TEFL outfit is none other than the shady TEFL company itself. It’s just a gold badge they created and put on their website. It means nothing.
False accreditation aside, this company will badger you to write “politely worded and positive” reviews about them when you complete the course, offering free courses in return for doing so. They also keep a record of your debit/credit card details. How do I know this? I was billed by them for two separate transactions that I never authorized or agreed to. This happened months after I completed the course.
The TEFL certificate from this company looks poor, it’s backed by a made-up accreditation badge, you will persistently be harassed to write a positive review for them, and they may or may not retain your card payment details on file.
The TEFL Organization is one to stay way clear of folks!

Trusted TEFL Reviews reached out to Jane and we offered to delete this customer review because we thought it was a bit too malicious, and we did delete it.
We then asked Jane to have her students leave reviews of the ITO – International TEFL Organisation (This program also goes by the brand name of The TEFL Organisation and iTEFL) and she responded by threatening Trusted TEFL Reviews with legal action.
We have simply republished the customer’s review because Jane’s behavior raises a giant red flag, and the customer’s review reflects our experience with ITO.
ITO TEFL is an Accredited program, but this has been questioned.
It is alleged that it’s just a gold badge they created themselves and put on their website. It means nothing.
They are not Fully Accredited.
